Yes if you look at it says 2nd September 2009. I think it's just a mistake.

We have recently been informed by the manufacturer of this product that the release date has been changed to 02-Sep-2012. We have updated this information on site and will endeavour to process your order in readiness to arrive with you on the release date

Really? Well I think both are wrong, release date is still October 1st. Probably a little glitch in their system. The emails are automatically generated, so I wouldn't really take any notice.

As for Iron Man and Iron Man 2, I also received the emails saying the release date is now August 6th as previously confirmed by a member here and now updated on their site.

Play.com did nice job for selecting the artwork for this Steelbook. "Run Forrest, Run!" sure fits for the backside, and Tom Hanks sitting on the bench.

But for all honesty, I liked that fan-made blue art more. I am not fan of white as it's too plain and simple. It worked for Japanese Batman Begins & The Dark Knight as their art is black & white anyway.

i ordered this a few days ago and got an email from play.com yesterday telling me that this steelbook has been put forward to the 2nd September, although it has not been changed on the website.

They have also changed both iron man steeleys to August 6th, and delayed terminator until the 1st October
These haven't been updated on the site either as they are not listed anymore

Yeh probs, last month i had a bunch of play steels (fox wave), they were posted the Tuesday before the release date, and arrived by air mail on the Wednesday...

Hopefully they don't change anymore of them tho.
