I thought somebody said this was gloss finish.

It's like the last Paramount wave, not matte like Fox and not glossy, somewhere in between. Semi-gloss possibly? I don't really know, i'm not a paint expert

Well, just got mine. spine has a deep scratch and there are black marks on the front. processing my replacement.

This is actually my first experience receiving a damaged steelbook. ordered plenty over the years and from all over the globe, and this is the first time my copy hasn't been perfect.

If it's between a gloss and matte finish it is considered a satin finish.

Yeah, mine has a small dark spot near the bottom on the front

Nah, no marks here. I'm usually the one that gets the imperfect stuff too.

I mean there are several large black dots but looking close enough you can see that there is black dots over the whole steelbook.

If you click the picture and zoom in you can see the small black dots.

I think the print quality is really shoddy on this release. Apart from the big defects you've highlighted above, there is also the black dots as you mention all over the Steelbook. Like the paint isn't thick enough to cover it properly.

I think this is a great steel, nice clean white colour and a great price tag as well.

I don't have any big black dots but I can see if I look closely the steelbook is covered in tiny black dots but I'm not really bothered about it to be honest looks like that is what everyone has anyway, if I had the big black dots it would get sent back though.
