They started it all. True anamorphic aspect ratios on home media, custom art, commentary and supplements- they came up with ALL of that.

I appreciate your love and dedication. But, they have 40 years of catch-up to do with Criterion/Janus.

They are both great. Criterion's restoration and mastering are top-notch. Plain Archive is the best right now on overall packaging.
If Criterion gives more effort and attention to their packaging side like PA does I think there's no contest.
