Friday the 13th replacement disc program

See info below in spolier

On behalf of everyone at Scream Factory & Shout! Factory, we want to thank everyone who has purchased the Friday the 13th Blu-ray Collection (Deluxe Edition). We hope you are enjoying it. A lot of hard work went into it from many contributors and fans—us included. We think Jason would be pleased (for once!).
Unfortunately, there were some unintended mistakes in our process due to human error, for which we accept responsibility, and we extend to you our genuine apologies. We plan to correct those errors by offering replacements for three discs: Friday the 13th Part 3, Jason Goes to Hell (Uncut version) and Jason X.

How to request replacement discs:
If you would like to sign up to receive the three corrected discs at no cost to you, please go www.discshipment.com
and follow the instructions on the form. Replacement disc fulfillment will be handled by a third party. If you have any questions about the status of your replacement disc shipment once you have completed the form, please email: [email protected]. Shout! Factory customer service will not have any info on the status of your replacement disc order.
  • When filling out your form, please enter “Friday the 13th” in the “What Title Do You Need Replaced” section.
  • When filling out your form, you will need to upload a copy of your proof of purchase (photo or scan of receipt or digital receipt from online retailer).
Discs are expected to be shipped out in November 2020.
Corrected discs will be marked with “R1” on them. They will be shipped in a rigid cardboard mailer and each disc will be placed in individual sleeves to protect them further in transit.
Discs will be sent out globally to those wishing to redeem.

Affected Discs:
  • PART 3 (When viewing in 3D) – First instance of 3D opening credits does not come out of the screen correctly.
  • PART 9: JASON GOES TO HELL (Unrated Cut) – Missing “snapped wrist” gore in an uncut scene.
  • PART 10: JASON X: Missing audio during a scene in the film in which Jason kills camp counselors in a sleeping bag.
Thank you again and, as always, we appreciate your loyal support and patience.

Can anyone tell me is there much difference in the new transfers compared to the previous set in the tin.....?

Apart from missing scenes!!! :p
1-4=new 4k restorations
Jason Goes to Hell/Jason X= 2k scans of interpostive.
5-8=Same masters but there has been some minor color correction and movies are now in 1.85 not 1.78
Freddy Vs Jason and Remake=Same exact discs
Capsaholic have screencaps for most discs in the set!

You're fine with the dents Paul or are you seeking for a refund/replacement? I highly doubt mine will arrive totally mint. Fingers crossed it won't be too bad.
Only one dent and it's minor
Most scream factory box sets like this Halloween/Omen/The Fly etc come with minor dents and marks

Sharpie marker takes care of the corners if you don't want the white showing and any other minor marks

Friday the 13th Part 3
Menu has options to play 3D or 2D version

3D Version you get a message on screen after paramount logo telling you first few min of picture not in 3D

What's the problem with the 3D? It sounded very minor in the video and he didn't even seem to know much about it himself.... Did people not see that message and were complaining the start wasn't in 3D?

Looks like yours was rattling around that oversized box? I hate when Amazon do that.

There's an aligning issue, the 3D credits don't come out as far as they're supposed to.

Mine just dropped in the door, snug in a box with one air bag beside it. Glorious.

What are the chances of the UK getting a set similar to the Nightmare On Elm Street one for this?

Can't justify the price of this currently but would love the films and also Halloween sets.

Scream Factory U.S. are the only ones who put out sets like this.

Well worth the outlay if you're a horror fan and they only appreciate in value over time.......

It was not an oversised box just big enough to fit the box set
One Air bag on right side of box set inside

The beginning not being in 3d message refers to the flashbacks of Part 1 and 2 from the beginning of the movie. Not the mistake with the credits. On the bluray the credits are supposed to come out off the screen
Only the title comes off the screen. Otherwise its a gorgeous 3D presentation
