The parcels are collected by couriers and royal mail
Delivery of post not affected as royal mail sorting office and Couriers not on strike

Some Royal Mail Staff 1,000 Royal Mail delivery staff could take unofficial industrial action to refuse to cross the picket line and collect from the strike-hit branches

Zavvi don't go to a post office with parcels so orders not affected by the 1000 possible royal mail staff not willing to cross the picket line
Most business with large amount of mail have their post collected

Just to clarify about this so called Royal Mail strike issue, It is only certain post office branches having industrial action (97% of them are not even striking). No member of Royal Mail/parcel force are taking part in the strike action this has been a media blog to stir up trouble. Take it from me as I work for Royal Mail

Sure, why not?

I see no reason why there can't be a steelbook release first as a way of creating early excitement. I don't know if it's ever been done before with steelbooks, but there's numerous examples of first runs with limited slip covers, foil printing, numbered sleeves and that kind of thing.

Edited to add; Doctor Who: Power of the Daleks has a 'limited edition steelbook' listed on many websites, but no standard edition announced anywhere.

If not shipped by Thursday/Friday/Saturday it won't be shipped till 28th or after
Zavvi are closed both Sun 25th/Mon 26th and Tue 27th no orders are shipped on Bank Holidays
Zavvi Christmas open/close
Sunday 25th December Closed
Monday 26th December Closed
Tuesday 27th December Closed

Zavvi change release dates as you know when the supplier not delivered in time so it's possible this might have a release date change or be shipped a few days after 27th
