Have you seen how much some of those Twilight Time releases are selling for now? Some are just insane prices.

Indeed, I was one of the few that got in the preorder, felt like it only lasted for mintues, watched it, looked stunning for an old film, then saw what they were going for, sold it for 100+, that was a couple years ago, not sure what they are now, so even at the current price, I'm definitely in for this.....

Just saw one for 140 Euros. Cheapest was 66 Euros. Some auctions for used ones going on at the moment.

I may sell my 2nd edition of the Twilight Time release.

Ebay will be flooded with them for peanuts once this steelbook gets released.!

Just like Twilight Times Night Of The Living Dead remake since the Ozzy release came out.

Wont' be because a lot of people will be after a specific pressing to complete a collection, the way people are always after The Criterion version, you'll get Twilight Time's people who are trying to get all the releases they put out on the market regardless of merit. Don't understand it either but a lot of people out there won't touch another version of a title once it's been released by a specific video label. Christine is a good example. Had European and now UK release but the Twilight Times is still the one to get.

In February I sold my copy of The Third Man on ebay by Criterion because I was more than happy with the new Studio Canal one and didn't see the point in two copies in my collection. I got £100 for it. It was insane. I put it up for sale for £15 and suddenly it was a like a bargain frenzy at a Black Friday sale!

I have a lot of the Criterion Collection on DVD but most of them seem to be out of print now. I think they are slowly moving into the Blu-ray market but as usual all are region A locked.

A lot of those Criterion DVD's will never see blu-ray due to right's issues or other companies doing them. "Forbidden Planet" and "Dr No" are just two examples and even then I think they were laserdisc only!

Must be one of yours I was looking at. I was going to buy a sealed copy of Bunny Lake Is Missing for 30 Euros but decided to stick with my region1 DVD.

Dude, seriously, you do not need to pay 30 Euros for BUNNY LAKE IS MISSING as it is coming shortly to the U.K courtesy of Powerhouse Films Indicator Series #8. Numbered Spine, Criterion style clear case. Hopefully the same price as the others I've bought (GBP 12.99 each from Amazon)
INDICATOR SERIES films - a couple out now with the rest coming
List of Indicator editions:
Numbered on spine
001 - CHRISTINE (John Carpenter, 1983)
002 - BODY DOUBLE (Brian De Palma, 1984)
003 - GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DINNER (Stanley Kramer, 1967)
004 - TO SIR, WITH LOVE (James Clavell, 1967)
005 - 10 RILLINGTON PLACE (Richard Fleischer, 1971)
006 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME (J. Lee Thompson, 1981)
007 - THE LADY FROM SHANGHAI (Orson Welles, 1947)
008 - BUNNY LAKE IS MISSING (Otto Preminger, 1965)
009 - FAT CITY (John Huston, 1972)
010 - THE LAST DETAIL (Hal Ashby, 1973)
011 - EXPERIMENT IN TERROR (Blake Edwards, 1962)
012 - THE ANDERSON TAPES (Sidney Lumet, 1971)

I've just had delivery of #1 and #2 with #3, #4, #5 and #6 on order. I will be pre-ordering all of the others as soon as they become available.

. . . and this is what the two released to date look like:-

Unusual "popular" release for Eureka to get into . . . and would have expected to grab this from Arrow or one of the smaller cult title experts. I mean, there are some cult gems by Eureka Classics released such as THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN but I was not expecting FRIGHT NIGHT.
Anyway, brilliant artwork also used previously to good effect on the "limited to 3,000" Twilight Time edition and on the last year's "limited to 5,000" 30th Anniversary release:-

As a "Cult" title and with the original front artwork (no comment from me on the film itself) and with both TT editions "Sold out" it looks like this Eureka Classics edition will do good business and if I'm not very much mistaken this will be the very first EUREKA CLASSICS title in a steelbook here in the U.K. (December 2016) closely followed by the Japanese take on METROPOLIS (January 2017) which I'm taking to also be a Classics release due to there being no number on the spine.
(DR. CALIGARI of course being a numbered spine (#92) Eureka Masters of Cinema steelbook release).
The only couple of questions I have:-
1) Limited to 2,000 (like the other Eureka Classics steelbook "Metropolis" 2001) ?
2) Zavvi exclusive ? Was expecting this to be an HMV excusive if it had to be any retailer's exclusive and I seem to remember that I bought some of my Eureka MOC releases from HMV back in the day when they were exclusives there.

Yup, it's certainly pretty impressive and cool the original poster design by B.D. FOX INDEPENDENT (designers of artwork used on the HALLOWEEN, AKIRA and TIME BANDITS steelbooks).

RE: CRITERION IN THE U.K.
Something like two dozen available here - all region "B" (Region Free ?) but @GBP 17.99 each too rich for my blood. Shame though as there are a few titles I'd truly love to pick up :(

So this went up for PO prematurely earlier today. So then any word when it officially goes up for PO? Definitely interested in getting one.

I still have boxes of those VHS tapes most in perfect condition. Even though I will never watch them (I do have a video player) I just can't let anything go.

Lol, I'm the same, I might be a bit of a hoarder . . I didn't have the room to keep all the video tapes but I did take all the sleeves out of the cases and put them in boxes:)

I think its safe to say I'm a hoarder. I've got two sheds, one has 48 storage boxes of DVD's and comic long boxes. The other is full of everything from VHS tapes to books, CD's and stuff I'm sure I've forgotten about. Can't even get into it anymore!
