I still have fond memories for some of the 80's cheese movies.

It was a great era growing up as a kid in the 80's going to a video shop and seeing a wall of VHS tape boxes with a £1:50 sticker for one nights rental

I have great memories of this film and the soundtrack is still great for me personally.

4K transfer and all the bells and whistles included £24:99 (hopefully t will drop to £19:99)

I have just brought Labyrinth 4K for £29.99

If the suppliers show a lot of love to the packaging, transfer and the extra,s then I am in like many other film collectors on here.

If this was being released by FAC with all the quality additional material that they include for £48 delivered then I would be signing up to a GB

Great movie, great choice of packaging artwork and what looks like great extra,s.

Please release Fright night 2 to match along with Die hard with a vengeance and the rest of the Leathal weapon movies

Is the order I made when it was live still good?!

Yup, just cancel after re- ordering at the proper price of GBP 19.99 when if goes "live" for real (most likely price - based on the prices of the other 2 upcoming Eureka releases).
As I didn't receive notification that this steelbook was live I believe someone at Zavvi Towers jumped the gun . . . or rather I believe that it was a deliberate ploy to test the water regarding demand and not a mistake

I can guarantee it was a mistake. I haven't received the press release from Eureka about Fright Night and I normally get them a good few days before the listings go up at whichever retailer, I bet Eureka have given them the heads up and they've jumped the gun and listed it. Eureka have then seen it and told them to remove it.

Knowing Eureka it will more than likely NOT be a gloss finish.

Already released - DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE (or the best "Die Hard" since the original . . . IMO) - and still available in a steelbook for around 10 quid from Amazon but it's OOP/OOS everywhere else.

Zavvi have confirmed that the steelbook is to go live sometime in November.

So yes, they definitely jumped the gun by putting it up for pre-order before.

I brought the other three Die hands from Zavvi (really good artwork on the steels but unfortunately they did not release the Die hard with a vengeance with artwork to match.

I do agree that the third Die hard is the 2nd best

1) will savvy honour the pre-orders made yesterday?
2) and if so will they charge the actual 'go live price' or the original price it was up at yesterday?
3) do Zavvi not do a 'best price promise' like Amazon where they charge you the lowest price it went up at between preorder date and the day of release?

I've avoided purchasing on zavvi for a long time due to the appalling customer service and rudeness of their staff when there's an issue, so I'll only use them when absolutely necessary.

1) Yes
I have not seen Zavvi cancel orders that was live by error before but it's possible if they wanted but they not done so yet.

2) Price might be less or remain the same it won't be known for sure until it goes live for real

3)Zavvi do provide pre order price promise but not like amazon do
Amazon reduce your price automatically
Zavvi you have to request the price difference by using contact us option after you get delivery it's not done automatically (Take a Screenshot of a Price Difference before or on release date)
This is why lot of us just re order when we see a price change and cancel older order with Zavvi as it's not worth the hassle to have to contact them to get the lower price.

Note Pre Order Price Promise don't apply if you used a discount code
So even if price is lower than order you did with discount code you won't get lower price.

If your going to re order for a cheaper price do that first before you cancel your older order just in case it's sold out by the time you goto re order

I have had a good few orders done that was live early by mistake Zavvi always processed my order none got cancelled by them.

I only canceled my order if price was different when it went live officially

I will most likely keep my order for this as I used the 10% discount code £22.49 (€25.64)
If the price is a big difference when it goes live officially and discount code works again I might then re order

This is a Steelbook I don't mind paying €25 as it's a brilliant release but if it's cheaper when it does go live for real that's a bonus

Nope. As @cooey said it was probably a genuine mistake by Zavvi. No doubt this will be announced tomorrow by Eureka on Halloween and e-tailers have been given the listing info. I get a tonne of PR releases from studios in the UK and they more or less reveal the details to us on the day of announcement to prevent leaks due to embargoes.

This has happened before with the Halloween set. It was listed on Amazon.com before it was officially announced.
