The impression I get from The Matrix 2 and 3 is that there were knocked out pretty quickly after the 1st one was so successful. So maybe it's a case of the original one was meant to be a one off (unless someone can tell me otherwise). Not having seen the 2nd or 3rd one, the 1st does end as if it was meant to be the ending, period. I never saw Speed 2 but I did see the Father Ted spoof, does that count?

I'm a lover of Keanu, especially Bill & Ted but let's get back onto topic please.

Feel free to create a Keanu Reeves appreciation thread in the movie section if you want ;)

I wasn't a big fan of the remake (mostly because I can't stand Tennant), but I liked the story, so hopefully I enjoy the original more.

I don't usually like Tennant but I liked him in fright night. The character he plays is more flamboyant than the original. He's a bit Russell brand in the remake (if I remember you can't stand brand so that don't help lol)

I have a soft spot for Farrell and although he's not he greatest actor and he's pretty bad at accents half the time I did enjoy him in this. Thought he played it well.

But Farrell shines brightest in things like tigerland, the lobster, true detective etc

Does anyone want to bet that when it goes live tomorrow the Zavvi site will go into meltdown?
Sunday 6pm UK Time
As with most Zavvi pre orders it may go live before 6pm
Best to check website from 5pm to 6pm

Can go live early from 1 hour to half hour early or even be late going live as in after 6pm

It's not just his character in the film... I can't stand Tennant in general. But yeah, I can't stand Brand either.

I'm a fan of Farrell though, and I'd say he's a decent actor. He makes for an interesting interview too... very open/honest and even funny.

Is it as irritating as Eddie Murphy's laugh in Beverly Hills Cop? Because that would put me off...

Whaaaaaaaat? That's eddies laugh though! His actual real laugh (just like Jimmy carrs)

Me and my mates love his laugh

I really can't stand tennant either. Fright night is the only time I liked him

Farrell is definately a decent actor (but people can be very 50/50 with him). When he's hearts not in it he's extremely bad. Miami vice, SWAT, total recall

His interviews are great, he don't give a ****

He's Irish and we tend not to give a ****. I'm not a fan. To me he's the Irish (here we go again) Keanu Reeves or Tom Cruse, the same in whatever film you see him in.

You just can't drop it can you

:D

Far And Away (1992) 'nuff said.

Or even better the remake of Day of the Jackal. The best bit was seeing and I quote "A dialogue coach" in the end credits. Now that was funny. Where they done under the trade descriptions act!
