Opened mine yesterday and yep it's a mess, I laugh because I expected as much, if the run was 90% mint I'd be fuming but as it's pretty much across the board I'll accept the fact that if I want it on steel then it is what it is, just like Sleepy Hollow....

Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee that any replacement we are able to send will be free of scratches. As such, we would advise you to contact Zavvi for a refund or some form of compensation.



We apologise that this is the case. We hold all of our releases to a high standard and is very disappointing to find that this steel book has not met those standards.

Yes, unfortunately it seems that cancellations have most likely been swallowed up having been used as replacements for all those widely reported damaged copies.
A re-print of a further 2,000 would make some unhappy but at the same time be a blessing for those that missed out originally and who were/are reluctant to pay over the odds for this steelbook.

SaberTooth just got round to opening his copy today*, and was pleasantly surprised to see something which looks to be approaching a light gloss? ...perhaps a Zero Finish? ...whatever it is looks pretty good

By the criterion (and it seems accurate) a good number of the first run Zavvi Disneys, along with Forbidden Planet and There Will be Blood should all be up there, but I've never checked fleabay prices....
