Unless they did a new transfer for the original one, the only one that matters. I'd steer clear of this release. The Canadian steelbook is by far the best blu-ray copy available, but even then it features less than ok PQ. However, the less than OK PQ is still better than very poor PQ featured in the other releases. Plus the Canadian version has some extras instead of no extras.

I'm going for German release of the first movie and getting the Canadian Steelbook.

I would get this just for completing the collection. I am gonna wait for a big price drop first though.

Now down to £18. I recently got parts 2 and 3 individually and the transfers aren't too bad on them at all. The boxset is definitely worth picking up at this price.
