How is it better than the U.S version? I thought it was the same transfer

There's reviews that state this, US transfer is from a different company(Echo Bridge?) then the Canadian which is from Alliance.

The cover may not be the best looking one in the world but it IS one of my all time fave moves so I have to get this!

Yeah the Canadian version is supposed to be much better than the U.S version in PQ and SQ. I just wish they would have put some extras on there. There's bound to be a double dip down the line with all the extras and the Full Tilt Boogie documentary.

from past experience, i have found alliance blu rays to be region free, despite stating region A (as was the case with no country for old men).

It should mirror the Canadian amaray version which was Region-Free.
