Acalica, I agree for the most part with your analysis of the covers; however I am most fond of cover A as I feel the snowflake motif could have incredible depth in a lenticular cover and it is in keeping with the minimalist posters and advertising of this movie by Disney prior to release. At the same time, cover C is very evocative and I wouldn't be upset to have it instead :) Definitely agree that cover B is a distant last choice!

Call me crazy, but I voted for A.
B looks too cartoony for my tastes (might as well get the amray); C is nice, but already used for the Korean slipcover... plus I don't think it will hold up too well done lenticular.

$2 go fee is reasonable anyone would think they are trying to take the clothes off your back :p
Looking forward to receiving these! Thanks to Choi for setting up the GB and giving us UK ninjas a chance at getting one =]
agreed. in fact, anything up to $65 IMO is more than fair. Think of all the effort Choi/Tony put in to ensure we had 2nd and 3rd chances to snag a copy. Effort they didnt have to put in, but did so out of the kindness of their hearts

They knew the steel would sell, but gave us true collectors a chance to beat the scalpers. They deserve to be thanked for their time and effort.

Hmm both A and C would look great. I think C just edges it however.

B is horrid, and I've been hoping we get A all along, even before and after I snagged a Lenticular copy. But I think C lends itself very nicely to being a great slip, so I had to vote both. I'd honestly be happy with A or C
Anything but the childlike train wreck of a photoshop job B looks like *vom face*

Also, as for goodies. I think they should give a Redemption Code for a digital album of the Soundtrack along with a book of lyrics of all the songs. After watching the movie, someone in your family is guaranteed to wanna grab the soundtrack. Instead of illegal download means - Hey, why not just put in the code and pump up Disney's sales and cooperation with these kinds of sets. Also, I'm guessing perhaps half of KimchiDVD's sales went to Korean/Asian households...which means non-English speaking households. A lyric book would tell them exactly what the hell they're singing in these catchy, foreign songs (without having to paise during the Sing-Along version on the disc). Again, this would also build a deeper connection with Disney and its non-English speaking audience. The little english-speaking nieces and nephews would appreciate it, too. In addition to a lyric book, obviously some Art cards and some temporary snowflake tattoos for the kiddos.

like they gave away with other versions of the release?

I just noticed their isn't a 3D blu-ray for the USA?! This has me very optimistic that something bigger has to be scheduled for the Oscar winning FROZEN in the States!

BTW I picked C... That was easy!

wouldnt surprise me as it does seem very odd the US is being skipped for 3D on this movie

then again, Disney pulled the 3D for the new Tinkerbell movie so maybe they gave up on 3D altogether.

I'm not a fan of Disney 3D but most people are. I just think their should be an option for US buyers and Disney would be insane not to capitalize on the physical media packaging craze that has finally hit State side. I thought for sure they would have released a Target Digibook to go along with the others, or Best Buy would have had a Steel, but until this point we don't even have an exclusive cover artwork edition in the US. With that said, that makes this edition that much more sought after because at this point KimchiDVD is the only retailer giving FROZEN the treatment so many fans believe it deserves!

Today I talked with Tony about lenticular artwork and effect based on vote results

He will check then let me know final of lenticular artwork/effect

fyi.
Cant wait (so long as its not B :p :) )

thanks for the update, and all your help on this release :)
huge thanks to both you an Tony!!

does seem odd that with Disney's biggest hit (possibily ever? depending on how you view it) that they negated any options for the home/physical release for their native country
Weirder still, is that the UK are getting the 3D version when usually the UK lose out on formats/extras when compared to the US counterpart.

I do agree that the Kimichi versions, both 1/4 and full slips, seem to be the one's to get for this movie :)

I'm surprised too! I thought a movie like Frozen... FS or BB would have a steelbook for this or a better bonus than that chronicle book.

I mean come on! It's Frozen. It won Oscar. It's extremely popular and everyone loves it (most)... lots of fans.. it's basically free money and they won't take it.

maybe thats the problem, they know they will shift copies in the US so only need to worry about putting in effort for other countries, to ensure it sells
