There's only Zavvi and Amazon left in the UK for online retailers. Doesn't take a genius to work out why Zavvi get the exclusives and not Amazon. Plus it can be bought in many other countries, that's not exclusive. WEA by the likes of Blufans is exclusive. This is a poor finished product for the price. Anyone that thinks it isn't are the irrational ones.

I know it's available in many other country's. But it's also available in YOUR country. No postage costs, no chance of custom fees. Yet you complain that they are overcharging for it. It seems that some people will always look on the minor negatives and never be happy with what they've got right under their noses.

You're not happy with, you're glad you cancelled your order-fair enough. But you can't dictate to people what they should or should not pay for it. It's worth a lot more than £15 to some others.

By the way, I thought it didn't take a genius to work out what 'exclusive' means. But it obviously does!

Disney confirmed months ago on Facebook it was a matte finish and was posted on this site that confirmation
They removed a lot of posts when the artwork changed on facebook and the complaints started but thats noting to do with Zavvi

They Remove posts on a regular basis on there facebook site which is naughty but that's a different matter and noting to do with Zavvi

If you go back through this thread you will see that is was confirmed as Matte Finish long time ago and that info was posted in this thread

This was never advertised as a gloss finish at any stage and was known for months it was a matte finish

We all already knew this was going to be a Matte Finish months ago

If it was advertised as Glossy I could understand a complaint but it never was at any stage said it was to be glossy

Not every Steelbook needs to be Glossy to look good

When a steelbook is advertised as Glossy and turn out not to be then there is ground for complaints but it was never at any stage said it will be glossy

For once we get something that better than the USA Release and that's rare for a Disney release its usually the other way they get better than UK

Its worldwide Artwork except Blufans and Kimchidvd releases

UK has 2D and 3D
USA only get 2D

I actually REALLY want to do that, I just don't have the faith I won't screw it up royally... dust particles and the like.

I wish there was someone locally that did this confidently... Then I would just pay a few bucks and know it would come out right.

Me too, I can't even put a screen protector on a smart phone but I would be happy to pay an expert to do it

Dust particles are almost unavoidable unless done in a dust free, protected and controlled environment which many of us don't have. I do it in the toilet. Despite dusting and cleaing dust particles somehow settle in. The moment I take the spray can my wife goes furious. She thinks I am abusing her and my son indirectly.:hilarious::ohno:

Just say to the wife you look very glossy today:hilarious:

UK - Frozen

Matte finish with wash out with light on angle (but not too bad)

All images can be clicked on for a closer view. They are all high res and can be viewed at full scale.

So they left space on the front AND the spine for where the title should go, and then just left it. It looks unfinished.

As is common practice with new Disney steelbooks.

Basically it seems that any new titles they release for the UK market are also available in other European (and further afield) countries. To save money, Disney just do one design for these markets with any language variants solved by different J-cards.

Thor: The Dark World was the same, solving the Thor: The Dark Kingdom issue in Germany among other variances, as well as [The] Avengers [Assemble]. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Captain America: The Winter Soldier suffers the same fate.

At least the other Zavvi Disney exclusives are just that (by and large) so get the title on the front and spine. I just hope it stays that way.
