I'm glad I never cancelled my preorder on this. I considered doing so several times. I was going to sell it when I finally got it in the mail last week because I am getting the blufans release but I wanted to watch the 3d version so much I couldn't help but opening it.

ive been collecting steelbooks for around 10 years now, and trust me, they all lose value. steels that were hot property back then, can be had for a fiver now. thats £5-£10.

they only hold their value for a limited time. people wont be getting £100 for frozen in 5 years time lol maybe they might get £30. 'New and improved' steels come along in the latest medium/format (4k etc) and all these current ones become obsolete. people will be practically giving them away in the end before they become totally worthless lol

these have been 'hot' because 1- its in high demand due to being sold out world wide. 2- its disney. 3- its in a steelbook. i predict the prices will start to fall off in a few months time when the buying frenzy/hype/demand for this dies down. or if they print more copies haha

I have to agree. The type and OTT pricing on some of the steelbooks is getting silly......
I can understand paying maybe £30 or £40 for a out of print steelbook but not the stupid prices I've seen on sale.

Its just not worth it. £30 inc p&p is absolute max I will pay for any steelbook.

The prices for the hmv thor and captain america is a joke.

I would really like this steelbook but i wont pay a penny over £30 and if that means i dont get it, so be it. I will not be ripped off anymore for a film you can get for a £10

ive got my eye on the Kimchi UE release of this but at £120 im having second thoughts to buying this. a year ago i would have snapped it up in a heartbeat.

I cancelled mine after I managed to get a copy of kimchi do I regret it no kimchis is a far better version so its just down to your own opinion on which version you would prefer to have , unlike some I dont have the option to multi dip on everything so I have to choose wisely

i dont have the option to get any, zavvi is gone, ridiculous on ebay and cant afford the other ones either :(

So thats steelbook collecting. When you missed a release sometimes you have to pay more than the retailprice.
If you want the just the movie buy the amaray.

No that is how some people do it.

I have seen the film already a few times and if I was to buy a version the nicest is the steelbook but as I said I am not willing to pay silly money so I'll just leave it.

If I can order any steelbook I want I will in preference and even if i have to get it a few pounds more expensive on eBay I will but not like £100 for this that is crazy.

I have emailed Zavvi again as they did tell me they were getting it back in stock

wouldn't suprise me-either reprints to cover faulties or Zavvi stock held back or returned with spine slashes ect. Zavvi is the bermude triangle of retailers-stuff goes missing then re-appears months later!

I already posted this, but this is the email I got from Zavvi

I have removed name etc
