It is a farce because the collection has quite clearly not been planned. it seems to have been just a marketing ploy, rather than a pre-planned collection, with an order, a vision. ie, zavvi release finding nemo as a stand alone, with no mention of a so-called pixar collection, then two months later start talking about a pixar collection. it was obviously an impromptu idea, rather than one pre-planned. the same goes for little mermaid and the disney collection that it was later absorbed into, in impromptu fashion.
this is made even more obvious by the fact none of the steelbooks are numbered to give them order (on the steelbooks themselves) and the artwork is completely inconsistent. ie no theme, nothing linking them together as a collection. now they have settled on simply using the bog standard amaray art, completely ignoring the opportunity to create something new, fresh or special for what is suppose to be a premium price collectors edition. As for the collection not being pre-planned, well that's pretty obvious. Finding Nemo was Zavvi's second exclusive, I don't think they had thought much beyond the next release when that one was announced.
now on top of all this nonsense, frozen (a new disney film) might not even part of the disney collection.
also the way they just keep announcing more films to the collection one at a time (ie disney collection #11 *no title*) rather than just listing them all at once, for example disney 1-20. then we know for sure we are getting 20 steels. but the way they are doing it is as if they are making it up as they go along, they dont know the number of films that will end up in the collection, or the order in which the titles will come.
all these things combined make it a farce in my book.
