The artwork on this is great, it's such a shame it doesn't have a title.

Yeah, I'm surprised this looks SO good in matte. Not sure how it got passed over for cover/spine title and gloss treatment. Seems to me that if there ever were a steelbook that SHOULD be glossy, it'd be this one...

That's Disney's current practice: Art on the 3D disc, no art/blue color for the 2D disc (no art/silver color for the DVD if included).

That wasn't how it was for Thor TDW though, they could at lesat be consitent! lol

Arrived today, and thankfully it's a gift and not one I'm keeping. Absolute garbage! The one steel that should have been premium gloss is matte! Can't forgive Zavvi. 5 star film, 0 star product.

Yeah, I don't have Thor yet, but looking at the recent animate releases, Mermaid & WIR do it this way.

Monsters U has art on all the discs, but I suspect that's to match the earlier discs in the Pixar line.

3D Disc Region Free? This is a biggie since we don't have the option to buy 3D here in the good ole U S of A.

Both discs look region free from the pictures.

How many times- Zavvi do not make or sign off on the steels. This and the other latest Disney releases are the same all over europe and asia, It is Disney who are cutting costs by releasing the same steel across the globe.

Zavvi had the choice to say no sorry try again on the products finish. So it IS Zavvi's fault. Until retailers grow a spine Disney will flog them any old junk! This is junk!

Sure, they could have said "No Thanks" and just not sold the Steelbook, but that just leaves Zavvi without a steelbook offering.

Yes, somewhere along the way Disney needs to be encouraged to up their product, but unless it is a united front from the sellers, OR a united front from the buyers, we can't expect anything to change.

Any why would the sellers be the ones who care? They are just selling the Disney merchandise. Unless the stuff isn't being purchased, Disney is lacking the incentive to make it higher quality.

It's on us, and nobody wants to miss on a Steelbook to make a statement when we know hundreds of others would buy the one we left on the shelf...

It's an exclusive (available nowhere else in the UK only from zavvi) it's a Steelbook case AND it includes the 3D version of the movie (not available at all in the U.S.)

So why all of a sudden complaining about not been a gloss finish
It's the same Steelbook world wide with different jcards
The only one that's different will be the Blufans release and Kimchidvd Exclusive

But it wasn't at any stage advertised as gloss and was posted on this site that it was a matte finish which Disney confirmed on Facebook

Some people are never happy

There's only Zavvi and Amazon left in the UK for online retailers. Doesn't take a genius to work out why Zavvi get the exclusives and not Amazon. Plus it can be bought in many other countries, that's not exclusive. WEA by the likes of Blufans is exclusive. This is a poor finished product for the price. Anyone that thinks it isn't are the irrational ones.

I actually REALLY want to do that, I just don't have the faith I won't screw it up royally... dust particles and the like.

I wish there was someone locally that did this confidently... Then I would just pay a few bucks and know it would come out right.
