I can't understand why JB is releasing big name titles without 3D, just like Thor 2.

Seems a bit silly to me, especially when they are releasing Gravity with 3D.

Collecting steelbooks is not cheap. In fact it is getting more expensive as prices continue to rise every year now.

For a general non-3D steelbook release, I completely agree. However, all other versions of this worldwide are sold out (from what I can see) so if you really want a new/sealed copy of this in steelbook form, this is probably the cheapest price available. Zavvi's version sealed is hitting ~£40 delivered on eBay.
