the first WM I went to appeared to be sold out or received none. Went to a second and they had 4 copies there at that time, but they stocked them behind the lenti version. It's a really nice looking steel, but I think I'm going to skip this release and hold off until the lenti version goes on sale for $15.

Mine has a small paint chip between "E" and "T" on the spine, but sam305's picture below also has the same one. Is it part of the design or a manufacturer's defect and both of us are unlucky?

Received both of mine in the mail today- completely beaten to death. The lady at my local store did refund my shipping, as it was clearly their fault the steelbooks were damaged. She placed a site-to-store for that's set to arrive next Monday. I ordered 2 hoping to get one in good condition-no such luck. Such is shipping in sandwich bags.:tear:

I have the same mark between the E and T on my two copies received in the mail.

WOW! really...that OCD about the way it was printed on the spine...lol
in that case,you might as well make sure the back cover design with the cobra with all the splatter has the same amount in every steelbook.i think i counted about 432 splatter marks on the back...
can you double check for me since i think one of the splatter marks might be a scratch and not part of the design...

since that didn't occur after manufacturing and obviously part of the way it was printed on the spine,as far as i'm concerned,that is a mint copy in my book.

its not a scratch its part of the paint splatter that is splattered on the back lol

all you have to do i scratch it with your finger nail...its smooth so its not a scratch lol

Geezus... calm down.. I was just confirming for the guy that if its a scratch its throughout the whole run.

As for OCD ..yeah.. I guess, if you call checking 20 copies to see if there is spine slashes or not OCD then yes I am OCD.

Mine has the chip as well. I have a extra coming from walmart.com because I went this morning and my walmart didnt have it but it did later tonight and ill check that one as well.

I do love the glossy paint - are other countries glossy as well? You stated this was going of be a premium steel - did you just mean compared to other US steels? Or compared to all other releases?
