Have took some pics, but for some reason i can only put the ones that show the back of the steelbook all the rest say the file size is to large, even though they were took with the same phone at the same setting. So here are the ones of the back and i will try and get the rest to load up, anybody know why i am having trouble please help.

You can only upload pictures that are under 2mb in size. If it won't upload in the future just crop them so the size is smaller and it should work.
How are they doing the embossing? I thought you always need a border for an embossed title?

Maybe it is a new method in the steelbook industry anyway, i don't think i've ever seen embossing without a border before. Although people have been calling it embossing but is really debossing that gives an embossed effect. I've been going through some of my collection and can't find one.....Perhaps someone knows of one.
Have tried to look online for some of the technicalities of embossing, and it can be done but looks as if you have to use a different die method to debossing and sounds like it is more expensive to manufacture the dies for the steelbook to be pressed.
Not easy to find much information on manufacturing processes, but my hunch is in an embossed product you need a male and a female die with the same pattern on each die, which can only be used once increasing cost. A debossed product only needs the male die to have the pattern to be pressed and the female die can be used multiple times on any debossed steelbooks, so saving costs.
I have included a couple of pics of dies so you can see what i mean.
So these are examples of a male and female embossing die sets. Now if you imagine a male die that you keep changing and a female die that is always the same for debossed steelbooks.
I could be completely wrong so don't hold me to this
but this is my best guess as to how it is done.I wonder if this is the first truly embossed steelbook.

Good thinking, i never thought about 3D printers, maybe there is some new method that will keep costs down. Could be good for collectors as we might start to see more embossed steelbooks without borders i think it looks loads better imo.
Not a steelbook but i have a Godzilla futurepak Korea and that has the craziest embossing i've ever seen.
This was distributed by 101 films and love the steel and film choice. The code on the steelbook is SB01 so looks like this is there first steelbook release.Thanks for the pics @popeye the SB looks superb with all the embossing, was going to hold out for the price drop because not long got the standard bluray edition but i can't resist, love the film an all time classic to me
Hope they release some more in there cult classics range, will keep an eye out.

Incredible Steelbook for Tupac's last screen performance. Super happy with this.

Impressive looking SteelBook, not too sure about the movie. Going to wait to pull the trigger....
