I absolutely love it.
One of the best Steelbook covers I have seen. Up there with my Mondo ones.

I wish all Steelbooks had an illustrated cover, be that commissioned or the film posters such as the fabulous Inner Space and Big Trouble in Little China (I wish that would get rereleased!)

Both of those do have steels, both with the illustrated art. Big trouble is one of my favs

There's no denying the art used is great. But it should of been glossed to make it really pop and stand out

Received mine today too... I would've preferred gloss, but overall I like do like this version. Sucks to know all copies (mine included) seem to have the misaligned debossing on the back though.

The misaligned debossing on the rear as way more offensive than the lack of gloss on this release IMO - it's more than just 'slightly off'. In this case I think the matt finish works well. Overall I'm happy with it but imagine it will get replaced if another retailer conjures up a version with more colourful artwork

To make the steelbook look a wee bit glossy slip it in a translucent sleeve . . . like this example from Japan where it's been given a Mondo style makeover and is also a clever way of providing domestic titles on the front and spine:-

My copy arrived yesterday and I liked it. An illustration cover that actually works. My only complaint. Overpriced. Should have been £20 not 30 plus pounds.

Just got word from Zavvi, no 3d steelbook stock left due to getting a short supply. I had the same problem with my card details expiring prior to release. They promised to send me a 4k version, plus potentially adding a 3d disc too

I'm a massive GITS fan, would have been gutted to not get a copy after ordering this as soon as it became available.

I'm a massive GITS fan, would have been gutted to not get a copy after ordering this as soon as it became available.

I got the same email. 4K steel, 10% discount code and 3D disc if I wanted it. Never been so glad that I had a payment problem that pushed me back to the back of the queue.

Part of me is still thinking it's too good to be true and won't believe it until it turns up at my door but it's a nice gesture on their part.
