Is this a limited release? The 3D version says sold out. I know a Zavvi sold out doesn't mean actually sold out, but the 4K version is still available to pre-order.

Zavvi Sold Out doesn't mean Sold Out. This now applies to almost all the retailers. In fact, we are now seeing a role reversal with premium retailers who are relisting so-called sold out items.

The old 'sold out' sign is a tactical impulse factor to cause a panic rush to buy giving you the 'fear of loss'. Generally it works. It's a very powerful tool to use. Some steels work better than others for this trick. Now it is sold out and if it does come back in stock everyone's going to start buying it with the fear that it will go sold out again. Those that know Zavvi too long will gamble on if this is just a silly nonsense or not. Most of the times it is. Sometimes it isn't. Bit of a gamble.

for zavvi i never believe it but for any of the premium retailers I assume its going to be true. If they do come in stock quantities will be very low.

not quite obviously - 4k has been around a few years now and 3D was never as popular as 2D HD so I'd expect things to be more even in terms of what people have at home.

Nice to see 3D being shown as a want over 4K - maybe we'll see better integration of formats rather than 4K replacing the 3D; we might get the 4K disc in addition.

I agree I don't believe this to be sold out, I just didn't expect it to be 'sold out' this early into pre-orders when as far as I'm aware it is not a limited release. If it was a Marvel or Disney release or limited to a few thousand then of course.

The TBC Best Buy artwork and the bright colors and design just blew me away. For all my UK collectors I can only hope the design changes to Best Buy's. Wow.

Be careful. Certain members may think you're disrespecting Zavvi and brandish you one of the 'UK retailer/Zavvi bashers' brigade!!

Went for a ****** monotone red theme but the original artwork and film itself is so vibrant and full of a spectrum of colors. What a waste.

With the right finish and debossing, this can be really nice. But I guess this is not gonna happen, since it's a big title and not necessary to push sales through a nice steelbook
