Have to agree. While I love the film Gladiator, this design concept is silly for such a movie.

Gladiator was a co production of universal and dream works. Universal had the worldwide release rights whilst dream works had the us rights.

Dream works titles were distributed by universal when dream works started releasing dvd's. Paramount then bought the contract to distribute dreamworks titles before paramount then swallowed up dreamworks.

Earlier in the year, Warner bought rights to distribute select movies. Hence the Warner / paramount / dreamworks steelbook us wave earlier in the year with titles like face off, gladiator.

Snake eyes a paramount film in the us, touchstone in the uk has just been released by Warner bros in the us as part of the agreement signed earlier in the year.

personally I love the artwork ... I know many dont and I respect that. If you can get past the German text (if you are native English) then you will find a nice good steel. It has same gloss shimmer effects as their past wave.

DE - Gladiator

Matte finish with metallic shine on the shoulders of the armour, down his side and sword. This range has a better finish than the US Reel Heroes range which I've detailed in Paul and Scarface.
