I've come to the conclusion that this seems like it's dead in the water. There's been tons of updates on the 2014 version, but nothing on this OAB one. Sad. I'm one of the ten people who actually enjoyed G98.

I may be biased because I'm not a big fan of the Godzilla movies in general but I really enjoyed G98. It's a fun little monster flick on its own, and the special effects hold up fairly well. Anyone looking at it from the perspective of a casual fan of popcorn monster flicks might agree with me. I think there are also a lot of anti-Roland Emmerich people out there who just hate everything he does automatically. Anyway, enough of the merits of the film itself - this is one badass-looking slip - glad I ordered the tripack. I've always wanted to upgrade my DVD copy of the film and this is the perfect (and only) way to go :)

I agree. If they would've named it anything else, it'd probably have a lot more fans. But since it's Godzilla and stars a giant monster that really isn't Godzilla, people hate on it. I honestly think that some people hate it just because it's the in-thing to do. It's a super fun giant monster flick.
