Phew! Glad this thread got bumped up, as I was meaning to cancel this but had forgotten to do it.
Im actually looking forward to this one. Been dying to see the movie for ages.
It doesnt bother me that it says 3d on the front and spine. It still a steel at the end of the day.

I think I actually prefer this artwork over the blufans though. Maybe I'll try to make it gloss.

I kinda wanted this, and even the Lenti 3d slip I saw at BB today. But Priorities and a budget kept me from this hotness. Cancelled, not a must Have! I x5 dipped Thor today. 3 BB SB. 3d slip. Loki slip = $140. Not enough for gravity this go round. Priorities people! Here's a pic.....

Got some pics today at work if anyone wants to see? BTW, regular 3D is lenticular slip, and 2D has probably the nicer slip (similar effect to the Man Of Steel 2D one, or the Back To The Future Trilogy digipak).

Im wondering what the finish is. Saw the german one and it looked cheap matte...saw a video of the australian one and it looked similar to the finish of aliens/the dark knight trilogy steelbooks
Here we go...not very good but that's what you get when you don't upgrade your phone for 3 years...
Thought I got a good shot of the finish but it was out of focus so I didn't upload that one. I couldn't really tell anyway from the cellophane covering the design but Bullock seemed to be singled out...couldn't tell if it was just usual cheap Warner finish or zero...doubt it's the latter if I'm honest. One thing I will say is the printing looks sharp so it won't be a low-res image (like recent Captain Phillips...though I still liked that steelbook).

Will have to check tomorrow. Was gonna check to see if the 2D release had 2 discs as advertised 'cause it's unlikely it would have 2 discs if the 3D version wasn't 3-disc. I'll try and remember to snap a pic of the J-card tomorrow (or the slipcover reverse).
You see now why Bullock & Clooney's names are so far down from the top - just to accommodate for the J card. Course once you've done away with the j card the names look randomly placed and not quite right and once that j card is binned you might forget it's in 3D - but don't worry Warner have thought of that and stamped a nice big permanent 3D slap bang in the middle of your steelbook, good eh?
