Nova just doesn't feel as premium as it did back in the day when I preordered every one of there exclusives. Manta Lab, Zeta, Blufans, and others just feel like a tier above them.
I'll probably just get the FS, I haven't bought anything from them since Kill Bill.

Great job Nova but as for the films if it doesn't include the real american releases (the short ones), I will keep the disc I have with the zavvi and put it in as I prefer the short versions better. The long version of Death proof is not as good. But great artwork and went for the full slip. Hope they will do Django which is the only one I don't have in full slip now in my QT collection.

front: great, love the artwork
back: wtf? they decided to use the worst poster for the steel, they keep even the text. again, wtf?
inside: hmm...

full slip:
love the artworks, but hate the text on the death proof side

death proof lenti:
great and the best package

planet terror lenti:
love the front... the back is ok

Yeah there's a full length film cut of each and the 90min versions that were shown as part of the grindhouse combo.

PT only has one other cut, at 105mins, whereas DP have a few varying between 113 and 127mins. I think only the 113/114min cut has actually been released on disc previously though.

You're looking at about 25mins extra on DP and 15mins on PT.

They've repurposed the uk amaray art for the front of the FS (with Russell instead) if anyone was interested where that image came from. I think they've made the PT image themselves on the back to match though...

I actually prefer the shorter versions of these movies, used to have the longer cuts on dvd.

Still, nice packages though.

QT did a special long cut of his movie for countries like France and I've seen both the long versions and the short one showed in the US which is under 90 min (as well as the Rodriguez one).
I have the Zavvi steelbook and on this, it is the short US versions of both films and all the fake trailers. And to me those "original" versions are way better. Almost all the added scenes for DP are boring (and I am a real QT fan). The US original cut is way more efficient and I mean wayyyyyyyyyyyyy more . But I will keep the zavvi steel and put the long versions on it. Like that the full slip i will put in my QT collection will have the best cut.

The lentis don't really work as a stand alone option unless you get both. They each favour one movie over the other of the double feature....

The Death Proof one, I don't really care for Grindhouse personally

So torn on this one.. Really like the DP lenti with the transition, but I love white FS' and it makes far more sense to have a slip relating to both both films than just the one.. live shots will have to make the decision for me, can't decide right now.
