If i join the HDN GB it´s even cheaper for me then ordering direktly from Kevin because in 8/10 times i get caught by Geman customs and there are some personal reasons to avoid him in the Future. And they charge more then these few $ i pay for the HDN GB:thumbs:

Some Members just keep watching their Wallets to save a few $$$ and cancel their orders here-that´s quite poor -imo.The Hub leaders having a quite hard Job organizng the GB´s and you Guy´s give them a kick in the A***:jacked: If a few $ are so important for you, better stop collecting BF Steels or better stop in general. Back to topic:D
I think you are right as setting up GB's requires a lot of work, and the extra few $$are what we can the least do to support HDN, the place where we can source timely information which is beneficial to our hobby on collecting steelbooks.

Love the look of the overall package! Glad I'm in the for the UE

Just to post my 2p's worth to address a couple of things and some of some comments I've been reading both here and from the BD forums....

Very disappointed to now be receiving PMs from members wanting to cancel their spots in the GB as they have now joined the GB over on the BD Forums.....thanks! Please note that a list is being compiled of the ones that are cancelling to go over there and you will be blacklisted and will not be able to join any further GBs hosted by myself (@Wreck can confirm whether he will decide to do the same for his side)

And since the same few members keep on bringing this back up, yes you will get it quicker from the BD forums and yes, it will be slightly cheaper. As Wreck has stated previously, we are slightly more expensive as we have to have the BDs shipped to the hubs (either Wreck or me), we have to repack and send out. This is something that we cannot get around and something that has been known since we have managed to bring the Blu Fans GB's back to HDN. The BDs from Kevin go direct from BF to the customer, this is something that at the moment we cannot do.

Going forward, if you don't like it then don't join them and waste our time. We're not in competition and we don't need to be, we are just pleased we can offer these up to you guys. Simple as that. Might sound harsh, but the people that have now cancelled have taken up a spot that someone else could have took. All being well we will be able to offer that spot up to someone else soon, but it's not guaranteed (please don't PM me asking if any are available!)

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, where they want to shop, who they want to buy from, etc, etc. We aren't here to tell you who's wrong or right.

To the guys who are on the GB at the moment, as both myself and Wreck have stated your copies are secured :) Onwards and upwards and all that jazz
Are you freaking serious???
People send you PM to cancel their GB participation over here? Dropping out of a GB for a GOOD reason is something we can allow work with but THIS is NOT a good reason! When you commit to a GB, you COMMIT to it! BUT regular sad life moment (death, accident, or else) CAN and WILL happen once in a while.... but committing in both places and then dropping out is NOT what GB are meant for.

It takes us GB leaders a LOT of time & energy & organisation so I'm 200% with you @cooey and shame on those who PM'ed you!

well said cooey, but in the GBs the rules are well known for all members here on hdn 'most' gb holders have the rule you join you can't back out as too many say they want then back out leaving someone holding a copy which is just wrong imho how would they like some doing the same to them.

so newbies should pick up on this you ask and back out you will be blacklisted for future GB's which to my mind is fair enough whoever you are.

as to people saying name and shame thats just rot, they have made there bed just let them lye in it.
thats punishment enough!

basil

I joined the GB here as I didn't know for sure if I was gonna be able to be at my computer when it went live on the other site. Luckily I got one both here and on the other site but I certainly won't be cancelling one just coz I got it on another site too. As a GB host myself at the other site you have to understand it takes up a lot of your time organising and prepping a GB, and staying on top of communications from members on a daily basis and we do this non-profit to help members worldwide so please think carefully when you join a GB. Looking forward to getting my copy here and at the other site.

hey folks, before we get off track too much, any further posts about BluFans in general should be directed to the retailer thread - let's try to stick with just GOTG conversation about the release, if possible.

thanks

That's Wrong that anyone would do that shame on them
Its peoples choice which Group Buy they decide to go with but once you sign up for a Group Buy they should stick with the Group buy they first signed up for and not pick and choose at a later stage which group buy they want to suit them

Whatever site or group buy a person chooses is their right to decide which one they pick but once you decide to request a copy on a group buy they should stick with that group buy and if they want to request another copy on a different group on a different site they should commit to both and not pull out of a group buy if the different one has a better option

The only time I see were its acceptable to ask to drop out of a group buy us were you have unexpected financial problems due to sudden illness or loss of employment and you need to be able to pay essential bills which is more important than any steelbook

When its short term financial problems creating an issue to make payment but funds will be available in a few days or week I'm sure most Group Buy hosts will be willing to wait a week or more for payment as long as they know you will make payment

I myself only join a group buy if its a release I cant order direct so to use a group buy is a commitment to the group buy host and the service they offer you

Its an easy choice when its known in advance there will be different group buys on different sites pick one you want and stick with your first choice you requested a copy and at a later stage you decide to request on a different site a copy you also stick with that group buy also

I myself picked the other group buy and requested my copy but if I had of requested my copy with HDN I would have kept my request and not dropped out

Pick the group buy you want and stay committed to the group buy you made your first request its that simple

Agree about people dropping out of GBs. I think a nice show of solidarity for all GB hosts would be for them to be blacklisted from all future GBs from any host. Obviously this would be up to the other hosts to decide.
Like lets all club together and make someone feel really bad for something they may already feel bad about, seems like bullying to me!
