OK, I am really confused after seeing an ad for this tonite. So Vin Diesel is the voice of that tree guy, yet the big red guy is played by a wrestler? why would they do that? Why not have Vin Diesel play the big red guy and let the wrestler that not many people know play the voice of that tree guy?

Everyone knows Batista, he is huge in the WWE and was recently in the man with the iron fist.This could be his big break out role.I don't think he will ever be doing any amazing acting, but he is perfect for this.

Vin diesel on the other hand had the perfect voice for groot.He isn't as big as Dave is to play Drax.I think both were cast perfectly.And from the reviews coming out lots of others do too.

Thanks @dboy99 I did not know Baptistas name, but knew he was a wrestler. Did not know he was in Iron Fist. I have it but cant get through it. Damn Tarentino films. IMO

Thought I would add a little more than its just awesome.

First off the casting is awesome,everyone is great.The special effects are amazing,and the 3d is really good,unlike the rest of the marvel films(except spidey)I would recommend seeing this in 3d.The story line at times is predictable but never for one minute was I bored.The one thing i probably liked the most was the soundtrack,it's incredible & fits the film prefectly.

I would give it 9/10.

I would recommend this to everyone as there is something for everyone,kids & adults.Also I can't recommend the 3d enough,especially if your lucky enough to have an imax theatre nearby.

Anyway I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

*There'd a few curse/swear words,so you may want to take that into mind if your taking young children.

The Wrap has revealed that James Gunn will return to both write and direct a sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy. Their source? Not the usual studio insiders, but co-writer Nicole Perlman! There obviously hasn't been an official announcement as of yet as Marvel are likely waiting on those all important box office results, but reviews have been overwhelmingly positive and it's expected to overperform next weekend. "They started to figure it out pretty quick when they started getting the reactions from the audience; it was a very positive reaction," Perlman revealed exclusively to the site. "Of course they would want to make a sequel as long as it does well and people are excited about it, they'll wanna do a sequel. So, it's going to happen. James will be directing ‘Guardians 2,’ so he would also be writing ‘Guardians 2." Perlman wasn't sure about her own involvement (she initially become involved with Guardians of the Galaxy through Marvel's writers programme, earning her a credit on the movie as Gunn later would put his own spin on things in a later draft). Elsewhere, Hero Complex mentions that, "Feige confirmed that Gunn would direct a sequel should Marvel move forward with one."
