This will sell out in most countries as did the first film and that's with a large print run worldwide when you take into account the number of countries selling this WWA steelbook

The UK steelbook of the first Guardians of the Galaxy still sells a high prices on the re-seller market even outdoes Blufans Steelbook

Blufans yes steelbook for the first film is nicer but that not affected sales at all in regards to the WWA steelbook and same will happen with Guardians of the Galaxy 2

Blufans release of guardians of the galaxy 2 steelbook won't affect sales of this WWA steelbook even though it will be better artwork

well just cancelled my pre-order now seen blu fans so 1 more available for someone else now
also looking at zavvi pics my guess its goona be flat matt as well be my 50p bet

anyway blu fans pic below and will be gloss :D

Question about Zavvi in general. I ordered 2 copies of a steelbook from them, I only received one. Should I be concerned? Or do they mail the 2 steels at different dates for some weird, unexplained reason?

If you placed your 2 steels within the same order, they will be shipped at same time, but indeed separately...

Depending on the postal service, you can receive them at different dates...

Was one a pre order?

Was it this?

Well ok then. Seems like a very wasteful way of doing things, twice the packing material, and twice the postage, but that's their business not mine. As long as I get them both, it's all frosty.

The Best Buy version might be full gloss like the Logan 4K steelbook, which wasn't full gloss in Europe. Also, the Best Buy 4K steelbook will have a 3D disc in it unlike the Zavvi version.

Wtf is that back all about? Those colours from the front poster art, which is fantastic, could easily have been blended into a shot of Planet Ego which would have produced a cohesive design and a must-have steelbook.

Absolute rubbish.

The price that the cassette went for has dramatically dropped if you look at the "sold" listings, with the highest prices being paid for the Blufans double lenti "£119" and other Blufans.

The only reason the cassette shot up so quickly in value was the fact there wasn't an alternative at the time, with Blufans releasing their edition much later on. As soon as Blufans appeared the price slowly started to drop and has fallen a good £30 since then. The Zavvi lenti holds strong and often outsells the first edition value wise.

This time Blufans have released their art before any version is available, which will see quite a few cancellations. Yes the WWA will most likely still sell out, but it won't be nearly as valuable as the first with one retailer already having better'd it.

You're talking highest prices and that example is an anomaly. Most fall in the 60 range. A sealed double lenti sat on the UK site for days for £50 shipped this month

"Days" is exceptionally good, I've featured sought after import steels for sale at below cost and on cost and they haven't shiffed for weeks, so days is brilliant. Cassette was selling a year ago for £80 upwards all the time, its fallen rapidly. The few Blufans listed have all sold higher except one, and someone got a great bargain on that. eBay isn't nova or kimchi, it can take days even weeks for collectors to spot a bargain and at certain times no one is looking. eBay is all about keeping an eye out when you can. Selling something in a few days is great.

You did not get my post
Blufans release is not going to affect sales of the WWA steelbook
The WWA steelbook will sell out regardless of the Blufans release
Any customer cancelation of the WWA steelbook will be purchased by those that missed out on the steelbook

In regards to re-sale value
Resale value to me is not of interest and I never purchased any steelbook or any product for that reason not ever and never will
I could not care if Blufans or WWA steelbook was only worth £1 or £50 on ebay or any other re-sale market

To be honest I would actually be happier if all re-sellers made a loss who list high prices except those that sell at retail price :p
I have no time for scalpers or re-sellers who list items for sale more than 15% above retail price

I rarely sell, but occasionally I impulse buy then change my mind. I always list auctions starting below cost. Then it's upto bidders what they want to do. I just want my money back to spend on other steels

i know the back is not perfect been long said about matching but i personally prefer blufans art overall to match my bf ue gotg 1st one

the wwa art for me is ok front but not a patch on bf and also the wwa back is a train wreck imho plus looking at wwa i believe and again just my opinion will be flat matte and the bf will be full gloss.

I can only afford one steel and for me is bf this time, if zavvi started to improve its steels for me they would get me buying more.

bf have already said the back stays and will not change as already agreed with marvel and there are limited arts available the back is from a japanese poster.

can you honestly say the back is from wwa is good?
for me is just very lazy design

each to there own everyone has there own choice preference and money they want to spend/willing on a steel x amount. i get that.
doesn't mean i personally want to buy stuff in a year i'll think is a waste, it would bug me.

i had to clear my shelves off as running out of space i gave away 50 steels i wasnt happy with to a family member who was happy. (even if these where £15 when bought works out at £750 in the bin)

i have found my tastes have changed and sharpened up a bit now as my collecting space is limited and this year moving foward i decided i wouldn't just buy anything, i was going to buy something i liked and wouldn't disklike in future.
i buy steels for me to use keep and enjoy but thats just me.

if people are happy with the wwa fair enough, we all enjoy different things thats whats makes this hobby interesting.

all the best
