Mine came from amazon totally wrecked and this is the best bit. It came in just a see through plastic wrapper, not even in a box Needless to say it went back and new one on it's way. You couldn't make it up. Seriously who the hell would send a steelbook in a see through plastic wrapper and no protection whatsoever.

Best Buy in the US would.

I ordered The Amazing Spider-Man 3D steelbook from them and it arrived in a white plastic envelope with no lining. Corners were dented and scratched. The back and and front were also scratched up. I took it down to my local BB and showed it to them and they told me to go ahead and grab one off the shelf to replace it.

All that trouble for it and I ended up not really liking the movie!

Spine slashed copy arrived from base.com, in a bubble mailer. It's getting returned for a refund. I'll just have to pick up a copy in HMV.

I won't be rushing back to Base.com, that's for sure. :(

Stephen, love the avatar, haha...mine is supposed to arrive Oct 30...fingers crossed :naughty:

I had two ship out. One was supposed to be here by the 28th and the other before that. Neither has come yet. :(

I'll check tomorrow and if not then they should be here before Halloween.

On a side note my friend is going down to Orlando for Spooky Empire 2013 and getting my Document of the Dead blu ray signed by Romero. From what I've been told this will be his last Con as he is getting up there in years.
Also at Universal they are having crazy awesome Haunted House this year. Evil Dead remake (it'll rain blood like in the end of the movie) Resident Evil (Raccoon City walk through) and Silent Hill theme haunts. I want to go but wasn't able to.

I take it you spotted that it's the infamous levitating, refrigerator zombie head from Zombie 3. Without a doubt the most (or only) redeeming aspect of the movie. :D

Fingers crossed the steel makes it to you in time for Halloween.

Got home today and my copy was in the mailbox!

Amazon UK did a great job packing this for it's long journey. Looks like it's in great shape!

Hey Stephen, I actually had no idea where it was from. But I love the Halloween season, so any spooky avatars people have always make me cringe :scat:

That scene is the only thing I remember from that movie apart from the zombie dj.
There's also a flying zombie head in Dellamorte Dellamore too.

I watched this yestrrdsy night...superb, the sound and image are amazing, but I am keeping my last usa version because I like one of the docs is not included on this one....

I'm seeing Romero in 2 weeks giving a talk at the BFI Southbank , London. Hopefully he'll be doing signings in town that week as well (not that I need his autograph- already have a signed Dawn Poster magazine, and a signed Dawn one sheet ) . Though my Dawn board game looks quite bland thinking about it (as does my ltd edition Document) ;)

Started watching Halloween last night , looks incredible.

Got a dented copy from sainsburys, asked for a replacement and questioned their steelbook packaging as being inadequate and they sent me a new one in much better packaging but has a paint chip on the back.. I decided a paint chip is better than a dent and am returning that one. I was lucky really as some people have recieved very scratched up steelbooks of this.
Going to watch it on Halloween night. Very nice steelbook for the price and I love it when we get little booklets too.. wish they all came with them :D
