For this very special release, Anchor Bay went back to the vaults to present this legendary terror classic as never before, including creating an all-new HD transfer personally supervised by the film's original cinematographer, Academy-Award® nominee Dean Cundey (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Apollo 13, the Back to the Future trilogy), a new 7.1 audio mix (as well as the original mono audio), a brand-new feature length audio commentary by writer/director John Carpenter and star Jamie Lee Curtis, an all-new bonus feature with Ms. Curtis, as well as selected legacy bonus features from previous ABE releases. Available in a collectible limited-edition steelbook package.

I had this on order and cancelled. I saw that amazon had over 999 available at the time, and figured the digibook was cheaper, so I got the digi. The digibook on the other hand is starting to dwindle. Only a few left at each store I went to and amazon already changed their image on the listing.

Shame about no inner art. What would of been awesome is if it was Myers wreaking his way into the wardrobe. That could of worked well with the back.

Haters gonna keep on hating. Don't understand every steel has to compare to the ultra insane low price on IM play. That was not the norm. That was a gift.

I am willing to be money Play lost big money on those I.M. sales. It was more than likely used to create traffic and get people to buy other stuff. Hello? Can you say loss leader?

Been thinking long and hard over the last few hours. May cancel now based on the pictures. Steelbooks uninspiring to say the least. Plus the print run on this will be pretty big. Might just wait now for a cheaper price.

I'm keeping mine as I ordered one for me and my buddy. We both big horror fans so this will look great in each on of our collections. I agree with waiting though as I see this dropping in price quick.

Looks ok but the lack of inner art is very disappointing.
Though it's hard to tell from the photo, it looks like the inside is just black rather than silver.
Cancelled my order and may pick up after a price drop.

Ive been pretty vocal lately about all black minimalistic steelbooks, but this is one of those occasions where it works, its classic artwork, simple but effective and Im looking forward to getting it (Ive never owned any of the Halloween films on any format, although Ive seen them all)

Its difficult to see from the pics as to weather the inside has no artwork at all or is black, either way its disappointing but not a deal breaker for me as at £13 its a cheap enough steelbook, plus it has the booklet. Id be more annoyed if it was one of the £17.99 + titles that have appeared sans artwork. The pumpkin is crying out to be embossed though, that would have made a world of difference.

No inner art, i knew it! Such a shame. Also looks like just the title is embossed not the main art on the front, another down point for me. Still the new transfer sells it for me, consider yourself lucky Anchor Bay.

u were right mate, shocking they don't have inside art, absolute piss take there's no excuse

Is that inside just blank or is it painted black?
I cant tell from the photo, if its black them im happy, but if its plain then its a little bit of a let down but still can't wait ;)

Thanks for the pictures

I look forward to putting this next to my Digi-of course I will turn both around so I don't scare myself when I pass them :hilarious:
