For this very special release, Anchor Bay went back to the vaults to present this legendary terror classic as never before, including creating an all-new HD transfer personally supervised by the film's original cinematographer, Academy-Award® nominee Dean Cundey (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Apollo 13, the Back to the Future trilogy), a new 7.1 audio mix (as well as the original mono audio), a brand-new feature length audio commentary by writer/director John Carpenter and star Jamie Lee Curtis, an all-new bonus feature with Ms. Curtis, as well as selected legacy bonus features from previous ABE releases. Available in a collectible limited-edition steelbook package.

Mine turned up yesterday. It's lovely, and I can still get a fiver trade for my amaray copy which makes it all the better.

Yes its a matte finish that's high quality so it looks good with lighting and has a good shine with the matte finish

This Steelbook is way better than the USA Digibook (Note Digibook has a terrible disc holder)

The Steelbook has it all Better Artwork and includes the Digibook pages as a Booklet and has the USA Artwork on the Disc itself

^^^

We also have started getting the standard Amaray in the US as well. It has the little booklet in it as well. I can't wait to get my UK SB in though. I like it better then the super thin digi.

Thanks for the video, Paul.

Good news... mines been dispatched! Estimated delivery date is Monday the 28th. With any luck, I'll have my copy before Halloween!

Is there something I'm missing about this release :wtf:

One disc, no inside artwork, matte black, and some plain Jane text plastered on the bottom.

(If this was a Zavvi exclusive people would be hating on it)

The OP says it all:

- all-new HD transfer personally supervised by the film's original cinematographer, Academy-Award® nominee Dean Cundey (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Apollo 13, the Back to the Future trilogy)

- a new 7.1 audio mix (as well as the original mono audio)

- a brand-new feature length audio commentary by writer/director John Carpenter and star Jamie Lee Curtis, an all-new bonus feature with Ms. Curtis

- selected legacy bonus features from previous ABE releases.

- plus booklet.

For £13 its a great price for a quality steel. This is one steel that needs to be black. Fits the film perfectly. If it was Zavvi it would be one disc with hardly any bonus features let alone the ones listed above.
