Response from ES about the finish they are going for on this release:
There’s an emboss on the title treatment, gloss varnish on the front, cutting out the characters and a dull varnish covering the back.

The red text and red image on the back is also a pantone red, which should be a bright pillar box red.

I just joined CC's GB and am very excited to receive this. It is like a UK version of a limited run FNAC, to me anyways. Even though I am a huge fan of 3D (don't even ask how may 3D PJ's I own) this beauty will remain sealed so no worries there. It is not like I don't want to open my steels, I just can't bring myself to do it :scat:
 
Reading the posts about this steelbook sounds most of these will end up on ebay and suchlike selling for over the odds.
Am so glad i got my copy ordered. Just hope the film is better than what people say here lol

Is this the fastest ever sell out in uk steelbook history? And if so why,it's not a cult or popular film is it? Is this the next holy grail?
 
Its about building an ES collection, if you miss one, then you'll be forever chasing after it knowing that its out of reach. A lot of serious collectors missed out, as it was gone within a day, or they're not in the UK and were unable to buy it. If ES number each edition, expect this and Jack Reacher to become highly sought after. I really feel for those who missed out.
 
So when is there next one due out after hansel and gretel? £1000 is still quite a few,am sure as soon as its released lots will turn up for about £30 second hand,so the can pick one up

1000 copies is still a few I ment to say,unsealed ones won't be so expensive will they?
