Where it mentions 'Directors definitive edition' in the title this would appear to relate to the new 4K scan overseen by Michael Mann. Apparently Mann has stated there are no changes to be made to his cut of Heat (beyond a couple of minor adjustments when intially released on DVD) There is an article here which talks a little about the remaster as well as the 20 year( can you believe that!!) anniversary of the film and a couple of behind the scenes nuggets.. http://deadline.com/2016/09/heat-michael-mann-robery-de-niro-al-pacino-christopher-nolan-1201815118/

I hope he has corrected the washed out colour palette
