Got mine delivered.

Was pleasantly surprised when I opened their unique enforced jiffys to see the steelbook covered with a cardboard layer around it for extra protection.

Not ideal packaging for a steelbook, but much better than I was expecting.

Tempted to send a photo of it to The Hut/Zavvi with the words watch and learn. :naughty:

EDIT: Forgot to say this is the best steelbook of this wave by some distance. Such a great film as well. Very underated. :scat:

Just inspected all my 3 copies and all have chips galore and marks in exactly the same places.

Here's one I opened to show you all:

Also another 2 paint chips either side of Al Pachino's finger.

Also marks on top of edges both on top left and right:

Other 2 unopened copies have exactly the same. :ohno:

Anyone else who ordered from WOW get this dodgy batch?

Also do other Warner releases suffer from these as this is the only one I've bought so far?

There's absolutely nothing premium about these releases but the price.

Mine has a couple of paint chips on the edges and was from Amazon.

Watched mine yesterday night. First time seeing Heat on Blu Ray. It was awesome. PQ was good and SQ was immense. THAT bank shootout scene oh man, had it on so loud i was afraid armed police would be knocking on my door :hilarious: .

Got to agree with you on the shootout scene. I got my steel this morning from Wowhd. First thing I did was check out the shootout :D I watched the dvd recently and the difference in sound quality is immense.

Just got my delivered must agree was pleasently suprised with the WOW packaging EEK!

Must admit that the finish around Val that looks like a damp patch spoils the front for me :(

Got my copy from amazon today and i have to agree that the finish on these arent really premium... but still a great movie. ;)

Mine also arrived today, thankfully in perfect condition. I mainly bought this one because I haven't seen the film before, but I also wanted an idea of what the Premium Steelbooks would be like... personally, I quite like it. Will definitely be picking the others up once the prices drop to around £10. :D

I think these look pretty good, ordered a few of the premium titles, when they came they looked so good together I ordered the rest.

Your not talking about what looks like a scratch mark above the T are you? I mistook it for scratches/missing paint but if you check the pic in the OP you'll see the same marks, it's light shining off the belt buckle. I nearly had the sharpie out on that to touch it up :hilarious:
You definitely have some blemishes in your pics that aren't supposed to be there though, not a premium quality product, mine is the same. Hate that oily looking patch around kilmer too :( Good thing I love the movie :D

Got mine today from WowHD (shipped from Hong Kong)

Must say don't like the steelbook, kept it sealed so will get rid of it. Don't like any of these "white waves" saved me a few quid tho!

Mine arrived today also, was shocked to see it was just inside a jiffy bag with no cardboard support. There was no sign of damaged at all, so all good here.
