This will possibly be the first and only time I say this... but I hope this is horizontal to match the recent Hellboy 2 steel.

This is great news, now I'll have one to go with Hellboy II. I actually like this movie better than Hellboy II. Is this one going to be horizontal like the other one though or vertical?

I would say it's likely to be vertical. Universal are the only major studio to have done horizontal steelbooks aren't they?

well because its Sony releasing this Im pretty sure its going to end up being a vertical but I was really hoping for a matching horizontal to go along with the currently releases HB2 from UK.

On a side note if Sony is releasing some stuff... how about some Underworld singles steel's for 1 - 3 and Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace! (Bond movies are Sony, right?)

Hey steelbook86, Sony don't have the Underworlds over here in the UK. They are distributed by a label called EIV

As for the Bond titles Sony have them at theatrical and then Fox have them on dvd / Blu-ray release. It's a funny old deal!

This is what I was thinking earlier.

Having said that, I've never seen a Hellboy film, are they any good? I like my Batman, Star Wars and stuff like that, so this should be right up my street, right?

Seriously though that would be absolutely awesome. The current steelbooks available are nice, but making them all in a similar style was always going to be a disaster. If they use original art, then it won't look odd if you decide not to purchase all the films and any future Bond films released won't look out of place either.

yeah likely not. I still had my HB2 from play sealed waiting to see wether a HB1 in matching form came despite the ever so slim chance since the same studio doesn't have the right to the both HB1 & HB2 in the UK.

Now Pitch Black on the other hand could easily get a matching CoR steel since the same studio does own the rights in the UK (Universal).
