Mine arrived today but unfortuneatly it has a couple of micro dents along the front edge and a ding on one of the corners, not to bad but not good either. Good job Amazon.ca are easy to deal with, got a refund the day after telling them about the damage, great service but crap packaging.
Disc played in my UK PS3, so not region locked.

Received a pristine copy today, in a sturdy A1 box. I learned my lessons .... It's better to order .ca steelbooks with expedited shipping AND gift wrap (CAD 3.99); in that case nothing can go wrong.

Technical details (compared to Miramax):
- same master (not good, but NA edition stands out compared to European editions)
- same audio tracks (English = lossless HD, Mandarin = an ordinary Dolby 5.1)
- theatrical edition (so not the director's cut = + 10min)

Steelbook looks good, on a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 7,5. Well done, Alliance.

Never understood why they did that. There's so much good stuff going on in the sound mix, particularly in that scene pictured on the back cover.

Still looking forward to receiving this.

Pretty nice steelbook but pity about the spine - did they have to print the whole title from the front cover there as well? - 'Quentin Tarantino Presents Jet Li Hero' it looks way to small, you can hardly read it..lol

I managed to get Pulp Fiction & Sin City on the promotion. I Already purchased Hero at full price when it was released and this is a great Steel and Movie! Worth every Dollar!!

mine turned up today by dhl in a padded jiffy bag but lucky for me all A1. also agree with you have to have this in hand to truely see finish is very nich imho.
