Q: Where can I find a list of Steelbooks released?

Q: Can I play movies contained inside Steelbooks on my Blu-Ray Player?

A: It depends-Blu-Rays are coded with Region A, B or C. Most Blu-Rays are "unlocked", regardless of what region they are, but it's always a good idea to check this forum or web resources before buying, as some are "locked".

Q: What are the differences between Steelbooks™, Iron Packs™, Metal Paks™, Viva Metal Boxes, Tins, etc?

Q: What does "G1" and "G2" mean when discussing Steelbooks?

I did recieve Deathly Hollows from the HMV UK with no sealed wrapping. I was very surprised to say the least. First time that's ever happened. Wouldn't you know it I ended up with a minor dent too but I decided to keep it since would have been too costly to return and hmv don't send out replacements like Amazon does apperently

I think they will refund you for the shipping cost. They don't send a replacement right away like amazon. They wait to receive the item back before a replacement is sent. Here is a piece of an email they sent me about a damaged steel I received.

Thanks for your email. I'm really sorry that your item has turned out to be damaged.

I got two of the normal steelbooks, but one was dented up pretty good. Skyline came dented as well. I emailed them asking for a refund on the two, and they gave me a refund on the whole order and let me keep them! Sorry to hear about your order.

Oh Thank god you got the right ones. I just sent an email to them. let see what they will reply. This is my 2nd time they sent me the wrong item. First I ordered Sherlock holmes first version [with transparent cover]but they sent me the 2nd version with printed logo [ it's totally different for both cover to distinguish or even following the ASIN :angry:]. If I had known that their people in warehouse could misunderstand and take the wrong one, I'd order Rambo dvd steelbook and hope they'd pick the tattoo version.:cool:

My box was half opened when I got it, and had a nice footprint on it as well :(
 
how to get a refund from FNAC?

FNAC just shipped out 5 copies of Tron 3D in an amaray case, even though I ordered steelbook.

Cannot work out from there site how to return them. can someone help?
Ive tried Google translate but it doesnt help much.
 
You have 10 days to return the items.
First you have to contact the customer service and they will tell you the return address.
They won't pay for the shipping cost of the return (unless the items are wrong or damaged). Actually you've received amaray cases instead of steelbooks, but I think they won't consider this as a wrong delivery because they ship randomly both of the versions.

Ive noticed they have changed the descripion on the listing since I ordered, but it still shows a picture of the steelbook and has the same item number!
 
Hi All-just wondering if anyone knows if Boomerang charges when you order, or when they ship? Ex. Pre-orders with dates in the future? Thanks!:)

They seem to do both. They only invoice you just prior to shipping, about 3 days. If backorder they dont invoice till available. Note: They charge EXTREMELY high postage and take NO notice that you want all items shipped at once. To calculate the postage take note of the shipping units beside each item which vary, its 60 baht per shipping unit so if an item has 5 shipping units its 300 baht. There is also an additional shipping charge based on country and shipping method. I think 800 - 1500 baht for USA.

If you query there postage they may cancel your account with them,&/or try and increase the postage cost.

mams has phoned them and they consider the "amaray" to be the same product as the "steelbook" because its the same movie EEK!:angry:
Impossible to return them within the 10 days from AU without using courier (now 7 days). Ive heard there customer service was bad, didnt know it was this bad.

ethaid have a % off sale on at present which may make them cheaper than Boomerangshop.com for your order as all prices include postage.

I emailed them and they have all my required items even though I cant find them on the webpage (suspect they will get a Tuk-Tuk to pick them up from Boomerangshop) @ a saving of 30 AUD and free express post for the order.

Just placed my order with them, will see how it goes. The emails were definately more friendly and responsive than boomerangshop.

You have 10 days starting when you receive the parcel.
So if you don't wait and send it back now, you will get the refund for the blu-rays.
 
Order returned to Amazon.de/Amazon.fr?

Since some folks have mentioned some issues with Amazon.fr and Amazon.de specifically about having orders returned to Amazon, when there was no address issue, and scan results sometimes indicate the package never left the origin country, I thought we'd add a thread to see if the issue is widespread.

In my own case, I had ordered 3 of the Once Upon a Time Steel sets with box for members here, and they were not delivered to me in USA. DHL confirmed that there was some issue, but could not tell me what. Amazon confirmed that the address on my order was correct. Since I usually order without delivery issues (damages yes, problems with delivery no), they also could not figure out what the issue was. They ended up refunding me.

Some have said that using the "expedited" shipping option may help, but it seems we should be able to use the regular shipping option without having items returned, without explanation.

I see Sengboy had the same issue recently.

Anyone else?

I've been hearing about amazon.fr shipments being returned - those items that were shipped, I presume, via another method than their express option.

Is DHL the default option for amazon.fr shipping to US folks?

If so, then it would sound like Chronopost would be the option of choice - but given it's a courier service, it would have to be cleared to IBC in New York, and may or may not result in a customs / clearing fee. :(
