Everything Blu Facebook

Release Schedule (SUBJECT TO APPROVALS!) - We would like to let you know our direction over the next few releases and as stated above, these are subject to approvals. We are taking on board suggestions of movies without steelbook releases but we need some sort of foot in the market before doing so. However, some of those titles have already been brought up in a meeting today, so hopefully we can progress further with those soon.

This schedule is planned to have full Exclusive SteelBook designs (Not just flipped artwork exclusivity). All would feature the same setup as Shaun of the Dead; Full Slip, Lenticular & Blu Box.

Casino EE 002
Hot Fuzz EE 003
Oblivion EE 004
The Worlds End 005

Thank you to everyone supporting us, please let us know you thoughts on the titles above!!

Agreed  Like SOTD, the "Blu Box" is THE best part of the release and apparently they're made by a separate company which explains why lol  (Novobox :naughty:).
Ohh wasn't aware of that! Although, it's not really the quality of the slips that's the issue... it's the designs. Do they use the same designer for everything?

thanks for that - any chance Novbobox getting into the steelbok game? ;)

Aren't their releases basically bootlegs though? Rumour has it they use artwork without proper permission/licensing, so coming up with something decent is obviously much easier for them lol.

They are 100% illegitimate. I ordered a Hellboy box set from them and it was confiscated and destroyed by US customs. I had no idea until then that their products were bootlegs.

I don't like the 'Blu Box', there's a complete lack of artwork and the nipples are rather off-putting.

So is this it? Is it too late to get the 2nd mock-up of the steelbook into production? Get someone who can use photoshop to adjust the lenticular so that it doesn't look like a poorly thrown together composition? Come up with something less derivative than a gun with overplayed screenshots from the film on the standard slip? Use Navy blue for the box instead of baby blue? Surely Universal won't authorise the use of a knock off film title?

If all of this is final I'm difiniitly skipping this and I doubt Everything Blu are happy with the tepid (at best.. lmao) reaction to their efforts. Too bad they stopped posting here after the disaster with Shaun of the Dead.

Baby blue. If there's a colour i associate with Hot Fuzz or the UK police force it's baby blue.. lmao

But, seriously, even though a darker blue Blu Box might've been preferable - strong colour to go w/ the strong red of SotD - it's pretty clear what the designers were looking to achieve with this pastel box - or Wedgwood Jasperware blue Blu Box if into antique pottery - i.e. to match it with the predominant colouring of the 2 slipcases contained therein.

True that pastel blue is mighty rare in police uniforms - here in the UK at least - and is more associated with the Royal Air Force than any other branch of the Services

As for the box design - near perfect and looks like measuring up to be a v. decent companion piece to the red Blu Box … w/ large de-bossed titles and diagonal 11 and 5 o' clock bullets bringing to mind SotD's blood splatter positioning … plus there's the artwork incorporated within the most appropriate letters of both titles … and the matching positions of spine logos (always a plus when looking for uniformity of design)..

Pass for me! I hoped after all the talk of the new style slip for Scott Pilgrim that it would be some kind of amazing new PET slip, but what arrived was terrible. Haven't even bothered opening it. Would sell it if it wasn't for the fact I wouldn't even get half what I paid for it.
