Everything Blu Facebook

Release Schedule (SUBJECT TO APPROVALS!) - We would like to let you know our direction over the next few releases and as stated above, these are subject to approvals. We are taking on board suggestions of movies without steelbook releases but we need some sort of foot in the market before doing so. However, some of those titles have already been brought up in a meeting today, so hopefully we can progress further with those soon.

This schedule is planned to have full Exclusive SteelBook designs (Not just flipped artwork exclusivity). All would feature the same setup as Shaun of the Dead; Full Slip, Lenticular & Blu Box.

Casino EE 002
Hot Fuzz EE 003
Oblivion EE 004
The Worlds End 005

Thank you to everyone supporting us, please let us know you thoughts on the titles above!!

Looks trash. Maybe trash is a strong word but the whole package just isn't up to the level of quality we've been getting from other premium retailers for a long time.

Before their interest in zombie flics (TRAIN TO BUSAN and WORLD WAR Z) wanes maybe one day soon Plain Archive will do the honours and bring justice to the Cornetto trilogy ...
In the meantime - for those into more than just the steelbooks - these perfectly formed and matched red and blue Blu Boxes will sit most handsomely next to each other on the shelf (followed logically by the pastel or lime green WORLD'S END Blu Box) to make a great trilogy display.

LMAO the box is far too big for the two individual slips making it utterly pointless. Just when you thought they couldn't screw the pooch any harder!

Imagine being this useless!
Wow! Yeah, huge gap at the top. How did I not see that before?

It’ll be the same as SOTD with a felt lining inside the box to protect the slips. It leaves a gap looking like that which doesn’t look great.

So basically they have tried to capitalize on their SOTD success by creating a similar box to keep the steels in? THAT is clear as day.
Oh and speaking of 'clear as day' one could argue there is logic to that but I still don't get the bright blue theme.
In addition, they've actually added two bullet holes positioned similar to the blood splatters on SOTD box.

So, early prediction here but The Worlds End will be a similar box too with similarly positioned planet earth fireballs in a yellow/orange theme. Yawn.

If you've got SOTD then I can see why you would pick this one up but if you haven't got any I wouldn't bother personally.

The whole thing looks cheap. Even the spines of the steelbook slips look low quality.

Strikes me as something you'd make as a design project in year 8 at secondary school

Design uniformity for films that are considered a trilogy. Unheard of.

why not blue?

why yellow/orange?

Why a bright blue? Why clouds? Why a load of shite?

It's not uniformity when the colour and design isn't right lol.

You were referring to the box. There's no clouds on the box.

Bright blue because it's the exact color that should be used. And green for World's End. How are the color and design not right? Have you seen the films?

Bright blue is wrong, it should be darker blue. Now I'm talking about the clouds because you want to discuss 'uniformity' so why did they pop up? As for The Worlds End... why green? The highlight colour is the 'end of the world' fireball.
I don't think you know much and just want to argue for the sake of arguing, probably because you are buying it. Lets move on now after your comeback reply, I'm bored.

Dude. It's called the "cornetto trilogy" for a reason.

That's why this blue is perfect. That's why green. And that's why the boxes are uniform, even if the contents aren't. Pretty straightforward really.

Is a GB needed for this? Is it really going to sell out?

I'd be surprised if it didn't take a couple of weeks at least.
I was very surprised this morning to see this release have a GB
EverythingBlu ship worldwide

It's not a release like the Mummy Box Set that sold out fast

Shaun of the Dead Blu Box was limited to 500 and took months to sell out and the Full Slip and Lenti are still available over a year after going live to order (Pre order for that release was January 2017)
Full Slip and Lenti was limited to 1500 each

Hot Fuzz Blu Box is limited to 870 copies and Full Slip and Lenti hard boxes are limited to 900 each
Hot Fuzz Full Slip and Lenti hardboxes will sell faster than Shaun of the dead due to a lesser print run but will be months before they sell out if that happens

Bright Blue is correct and yes it's color is in terms of the cornetto

It's random designing because 'cornetto colours' just for the box is silly and doesn't work here because you aren't just buying the boxes. Explain the clouds? If the colours link to ice creams why is there a bright blue sky slapped onto the slips? When you buy a boxset you buy for 'uniformity' of the set, not just part of it, unless you are happy settling for just anything they knock out. It's lazy.

It's really difficult to converse with someone with poor reading comprehension, so please re-read our exchange. I was commenting strictly on how surprised you were that the outer boxes are so similar between sotd and fh, as well as your disagreement with the color choice due to lack of understanding the underlying themes. Nothing else. I think both slips are very poorly designed, but that was never what my comments were about. Please next time show the decency to pay attention to context before putting words in my mouth.
