This particular thread is to showcase new and recent additions to your collection and showcasing your entire collection.

In order to allow for smooth scrolling and loading, on multiple types of devices, we're asking our community to work with us to do the following:
1. Please try and resize your pictures prior to posting them as it helps the loading times for you and your fellow collectors.
2. You might want to consider posting your pics in the dedicated media section found HERE where you will be able to take advantage of the amount of filters, resizing, and other features if you use that interface.
3. Please use spoiler tags when posting more than one picture of the same steelbook.
4. If you receive more than one steelbook, please take a group shot, not a picture from every single steel.
5. If you receive more than a single copy of one steel, post pictures of a SINGLE copy please. If they are for a group buy, then those pictures should be posted in the group buy thread and NOT in this thread.
6. If you wish to show multiple steelbooks from different angles, please use spoiler tags.

Do you know how to fix it? Oh boy...it's sooo annoying whenever I touch it just to move it around. :( I checked out my other embossed steelbook and it doesn't sing back at me...

I wish I read ash's statement about it being a congo drum... There is no way this steelbook gets any of my recommendation. :( I'm so disappointed that I'm not even laughing anymore.

Might as well call it "Steeldrum" man....

It sure does have an annoying sound. Feels like it's gonna cave in and crumble.

Is a pain but ah well soon forget about it when all I can see is the spine on my shelf :hilarious:, think ***** slap is the same or just mine?

Same thing on my ***** Slap as well. I am beginning to think it has something to do with the way the first debossing is done which stretches the steel plate (this forms the "border" on the front cover). When the title/art is then further embossed, the steel is stretched even further, essentially making it even "thinner" than one without this treatment. Of course we are talking about micrometers here but it is sufficient enough to cause that cover to flex and bounce.

I just wish the "bouncing" had a more realistic effect on the ***** Slap cover :hilarious:

Any other steeldrum that does this?

***** Slap (Italy)
Cowboys and Aliens (Europe and Asia)
Captain America (Europe and Asia)

I find it very annoying when I move it around on the shelves...I think they are cost cutting....trying to use less material.

I don't think it is cost cutting rather than simply the way they are making the embossing/debossing. They could use a slightly thicker steel plate but that would affect the folding on the edges to grip onto the plastic shell inside. A thicker plate would make it stiffer to mold I would think. I looked at similar other steels like the French Batman Begins/Dark Knight and X-Men: First Class and noticed they don't bounce because the first debossing that forms the border is not as deep and the border is wider too. Maybe the French team has figured it how to stop the bounce? :hilarious:

The original "steeldrum" is the Taiwan/HK Lion King.

Steeldrum Edition:
The edition that you can sing-along by touching it :hilarious:

***** Slap (Italy)
Cowboys and Aliens (Europe and Asia)
Captain America (Europe and Asia)
The Lion King (Asia)
Jurassic Park Trilogy (USA and Canada)

I need to be careful in take notice for future releases. I'm going to avoid them...it is so annoying that I don't want to pick it up and move them. I grab it and it goes "pop"...and then let it go and it goes "pop" again. Oh gosh...LOL... Captain America is not so bad...very little.
