How Many SteelBooks Do You Own? Post pics of collection / last acquired!

This particular thread is to showcase new and recent additions to your collection and showcasing your entire collection.

In order to allow for smooth scrolling and loading, on multiple types of devices, we're asking our community to work with us to do the following:

1. Please try and resize your pictures prior to posting them as it helps the loading times for you and your fellow collectors.
2. You might want to consider posting your pics in the dedicated media section found HERE where you will be able to take advantage of the amount of filters, resizing, and other features if you use that interface.
3. Please use spoiler tags when posting more than one picture of the same steelbook.
4. If you receive more than one steelbook, please take a group shot, not a picture from every single steel.
5. If you receive more than a single copy of one steel, post pictures of a SINGLE copy please. If they are for a group buy, then those pictures should be posted in the group buy thread and NOT in this thread.
6. If you wish to show multiple steelbooks from different angles, please use spoiler tags.

My collection so far. I've only been collecting a few months. Had a couple of steels before, like Pulp Fiction, The Fighter and Scarface from the Cigar box.

I've been a collector for almost 20 years now, mainly cd's, a lot of vinyls and collectors editions of all sorts, so I expect my new hobby to grow fast,

And a lots more is pre-ordered or in the post from ebay, like IM1 & 2 and District 9 (HMV)

I ordered the "wurple" editions & they indeed are not that great .

Sorry, I dont mean to be mean about it towards people who got/bought the "wurple" editions but IMO it was just wrong for Scanavo to even ship them out of the warehouse and then another mistake for the retailer to sell them when without a doubt they are essentially selling an item with a manufacturing defect. Someone clearly slightly skewed the tint % on the print press and they came out "wurple" but they pushed them out to be sold anyways. Not cool in my book...

I assume when you ordered them you were expecting white background steelbooks but ended up getting wurple ones instead?

haha, sure what ever floats your boat. such a twisted logic to tout around misprints and defected items as rare. But its obviously the truth (independence day anyone?) so I guess that makes me the odd one out on this topic.

Yeah just wait a year or two and they will be rarer that the whites.

If a third white steel of the film comes out, I doubt people will excited about the "wurple edition", the trilogy set will look uneven .
It's if The Dark Knight Rises comes in an actual "white" steel, that could ruin these from becoming rare, people will want an actual "white" trilogy (all matching colors).

No offense taken. It just seems that steelbook collecting is to unpredictable to judge the purple rain steels. Everyone loves defects regardless of the item coins, stamps, steelbooks, whatever most of the time they go for a lot more with the defects than without but only if there is a few with the defect that is.
