1. Please try and resize your pictures prior to posting them as it helps the loading times for you and your fellow collectors.
2. You might want to consider posting your pics in the dedicated media section found HERE where you will be able to take advantage of the amount of filters, resizing, and other features if you use that interface.
3. Please use spoiler tags when posting more than one picture of the same steelbook.
4. If you receive more than one steelbook, please take a group shot, not a picture from every single steel.
5. If you receive more than a single copy of one steel, post pictures of a SINGLE copy please. If they are for a group buy, then those pictures should be posted in the group buy thread and NOT in this thread.

That might be a little more relief on the pockets as those old ones tend to be the ones draining the funds a lot faster.

Yeah definitely. I have most of the ones I really want, so I can stop worrying too much about those. There are some I know I'll never get, mainly Rambo, but one can always get lucky. Goodness knows there's a lot of luck involved in getting some of the rare ones.

Agreed. Maybe you can ask Biscuit if you could borrow is lucky charm! :D

glad i order this, love letter from J.J. Abrams to all of us, movie freaks :p

From the 2 times I ordered from amazon.fr, i never got mine bubble wrapped either! Just some wrapping paper stuffed inside and around the steels. Oh well, they came in perfect condition :scat:

Im in the same boat. Almost have all the ones I want so the chasing is slowing down. Its just a new release here and there and more focus on special editions like box-sets. I think Im missing 3 rare ones now that still require the "chase", lol. Although there are about 10-15 other missed steelbooks I want but they are not rare or expensive so Ill get em slowly along with new releases. That being said I have about 10 in the mail :roll eyes:

yes, lol it is. Man I can't believe how long its taking for that one to arrive. What a shame it would be if it goes missing in space.... lets hope not. Its been three weeks to the day today since it was shipped. Then again it has taken 5 weeks before for stuff from Germany to get to me. EEK!

The last shipment I got from Amazon.de took exactly 5 weeks to get to me. I thought it was seriously lost and I would have to do a claim but it showed up one day. Nicely packed in individual boxes with bubble packaging wrapped on each steelbook. I actually put in a recent order on Amazon.de again and before you couldn't track their shipments but now it looks like you can. Don't know if it was a recent change or I was just unlucky the first shipment.

Why does it take so long from Amazon.de? EEK! Is it customs that's holding them up or something? The reason I ask is because I was about to make a purchase from them. Just want to be prepared for the long wait I guess. :(

my experience with amazon.de is anywhere between 2.5 weeks to 5 weeks. From direct purchases with people in Germany the same experience 2.5 weeks to 5 weeks.

It is a loooong wait sometimes without a doubt.

With HMV.com UK I have had things show up between 2 - 5 weeks. Only ordered once from amazon.co.uk and it only took 1.5 weeks to arrive.

From amazon.jp it has taken between 3 days to 1.5 weeks.

From usa it all depends on what service was used by the shipper but generally around 1.5 - 3 weeks.

I am in Canada FYI.

Agreed except my first order with Amazon.Uk took about 4 weeks to get to me. I supposed it was because of the holidays but man that was a killer. I guess all in all if it's a good deal then it's worth the wait.;)

Wow!!! Your right. Amazon is now out of Super 8. Since it is exclusive to amazon in France its gone for good now. I bet they shared the production run between all the countries. Wonder how many were made total worldwide.

i thought that too :D
it's basically the same everywhere, i think :p
difference only on the cardboard, even the dvd is region 2
they all have it. fr, it, de. only uk not available from amazon
and i think .it is the cheapest one, 17 euro

and if i'm not mistaken, Korea & hongkong also have this, and of course the dvd is region 3
