How Many SteelBooks Do You Own? Post pics of collection / last acquired!

This particular thread is to showcase new and recent additions to your collection and showcasing your entire collection.

In order to allow for smooth scrolling and loading, on multiple types of devices, we're asking our community to work with us to do the following:

Aliens and Die Hard 4.0 are both gloss. Just not the paramount higloss finish of old. Taking pics now. Should be up soon.

UK - Lady and The Tramp

This is the gem of this recent wave. Nice artwork. Nice colours. The matte finish hasnt made this completely dreary. True, gloss would have made this popped like Aladdin, but it really isnt that bad.

UK - Dumbo

Not a bad steel.

UK - Aliens
Gloss finish

This is what Fox do for a gloss finish. Its not super glossy like aladdin and Jack Reacher. Fox dont do that. Fox do a single coated gloss sheen.

There is blue metallic shine around ALIENS when you apply the correct angle of light. Also the rear art has metallic shine through.

This is a classy steelbook. Very nice. I've taken extra close up photos to show its a gloss finish and the metallic shine.


UK - Peter Pan

Didnt turn out too badly to be honest. Embossed it a little on the thin side. No stupid embossing, alot plainer and simpler.

UK - Die Hard 4.0

UK - Captain Phillips
Gotta be a contender for WORST steelbook of 2014. Absolutely terrible finish on this dud.

UK - A Clockwork Orange
Didnt except any better to be honest. Knew it was matte. Knew it was streaky. Its ok.

This is my current collection, I started my collection around February 2013, so you could call me a new comer. The collection so far mainly consist of new releases, its hard trying to buy the older stuff and the grails and buy what is coming out now, which is never ending. Current count stands at 160+ few on the way, such as the two batman steels from Japan won them in auction an ebay.com this week and many more.

My most expensive steel would have to be Japan Pacific Rim, with cost of shipping and customs total came to £60+ never again buying from amzon.jp, this was first purchase from them. I will get their steels from ebay am sure it will be cheaper that way.

I'm going to be a lot more picky from now on, get mainly premium steels, such as blufans, kimchi exclusives etc and start to add some rare steels, such as the marvel films, at the minute collection is really weak just got iron man 3 Taiwan version, thor and captain america zavvi exclusives.
