The 3D steelbook version is €24,10 , so just a few euro's more.
Strangely however that the german site www.bluray-disc.de states that there is also a 3D steelbook:

it looks like they are releasing 2 seperate steels one with 2d and one with 3d, personally i've ordered the french one as it has the 2d and 3d in.

The answer was that 3D and 2D Steelbook will be the same... also same special features. And the 3D Disc will be 2D compatible.

if amazon still has 1000 still on stock then they would also sell it but yes... this steelbook is also available in germany at saturn or mediamarkt.
