my job.

Since my company got bought out by a huge corporation that will remain nameless, they just haven't been winning the projects that I enjoy working on. I'm moving on to another smaller company that's only been operating for a year but they do everything I want to do. Bridge design mainly, can't wait!

oh ok. well good luck man. i may not have a job period come 2011. Michigan sucks so bad that they cant match federal funds for transportation projects. So there may be no work. everyone in my field is hoping they raise the gas taxes to get those funds

Just move Splax, get the hell away from Michigan hahaha.

haha the city has been fixing the 91 FWY close to my home for the past 15 f-ing years and they can't finish :hilarious:

talk about milking the city for money!

lol, hard to like construction when your highway is reduced to one lane and guess what's in that blocked off lane?

nothing!

See thats the thing people always think there is suppose to be someone working. There are things that prevent traffic from using those blocked off areas such as wet concrete. And work can be continued until the concrete has cured.

Oh no, don't get me wrong, I'm a reasonably intelligent guy and can logistically explain away a lot of seemingly inane construction jobs so I apologize for the generalization, but I've DEFINITELY had plenty of observational science to determine that there are times lanes are shut down for no reason whatsoever. The best answer I could conclude is that they just want to study how traffic flow would be affected under those conditions.

Exactly, we don't let concrete cure long enough. Causes alot of issues especially in states Kansas and North.
