No. UK release is Region free to the best of my knowledge. Don't have the Amaray now to confirm that as I sold it long time ago. The German 3D release is Region free as well.

I still own the initial release & it definitely states Region B on the disc & the back of the sleeve.

Although, it does state it's region free here though ...

Don't always trust info printed on the disc or sleeve, Blu-ray.com states that the original release is region free.

Bluray states it is region free but is it actually? If it truly is region free, what are the odds of the re-release also being the same?

Typically the steelbook versions of films already released on Blu Ray use the same disc but there are 1 or 2 exceptions though.

E.g Terminator - new master compared to the previously U.S released versions.

So Germany are getting a 3D steelbook, don't you think Zavvi should give UK customers the same?

I agree in principle, and I do think that UK customers get shortchanged on 3D movies.

In the case of I, Robot though the 3D was so poor it doesn't bother me this time. It wasn't a good 3D conversion at all IMO.

Germany have a great 3D Steelbook that I will happily keep over this. The only downside is the printed back, but the lenticular magnet makes up for that so I'm happy.

Think il take the back off this and swap it with the MM lenticular. Think the colours would match up and look pretty cool
