I'm Currently Collecting...

not really buying many steels nowadays. Pretty much just buy when I see a movie I want in steel at a price I don't mind paying. What I'm collecting right now are signatures on my steelbooks and other blu-ray editions. A displayed steel looks nice, but a steel displays a whole lot nicer with a star of the movie's signature on the front or back cover.

DeNiro/Pacino ... and always anything Braveheart :)

I bet you're happy with today's announcement in the UK then :)

I'm currently collecting all kimchi, HD Zeta, Plain Archive, Entertainment Store...

Play is complete, Amazon UK also, HMV was close, Zavvi became too much hard work...

BF is on hold. Sort of ;)

Difficult to say. I miss a few steels every now and then mostly due to controlling my budget. It's nice to go back (When I can) & get the old ones. :)

Preferably if they don't cost too much!

I have so many 'sub-collections', Ill just name the top ones that just keep growing.....

1)Marvel
2)Tarantino
3)Disney
4)Zombie
5)DC Animated
6)Kubrick
7)Robert Rodriguez
8)Cohen Bros.
9)Alien & Predator Collection
10)Batman & Superman Collections

Currently majority of my steels are from Zavvi but I have just started focusing on steels from Asian retailers(Kimchi, YesAsia, BF, HDZeta). Got my very first BF(MU) and on the way are Frozen, Pacific Rim, Up. Also Amelie and The Pianist, 47 Ronins from Kimchi.

I collect steelbooks of movies I'd actually want to watch again in the future. I mostly concentrate on new releases and the odd catalogue release from blufans, Kimchi HD Zeta and from wherever else. I'm not a completist so I don't mind skipping exclusives that are not to my taste like recent Kimchi exclusives. Lenticular releases are always preferred and avoid a certain UK retailer at all costs :p

Must you always take the words right out of my mouth? :p :giggle:

Same here, movies that I'd enjoy watching and re-watching are my main focus, be it the occasional Kimchi or Blufans or HDZeta if I like both the artwork and movie. Not a completist so if I believe the movie sucks or is plain boring, I'm happy to skip it and so is my wallet. :D

I'm also into some Disney's (FS/US only) and Marvel.

And yes I am boycotting a certain UK retailer too. ;)

I collect Marvel SteelBooks but that itself is just a subsection of my main ongoing collection of superhero/comic book Blu-rays/SteelBooks/DVDs.

I have the complete UK Warner Premium Collection and complete UK Universal 100th Anniversary SteelBooks and although not SteelBooks I also have the complete UK Sony slipcase collection.

Have quite a few Zavvi exclusives but would never try to keep up with their releases as there are far too many!

new to the game so currently trying to round off a nice start to a collection and pickup some of my favorite movies in steel or my favorite looking steels.

I have all the Nolan batman steels now, got my copy of the Evil Dead steel which is spectacular. will probably pickup other Marvel ones next, amazing spider man and possibly The Avengers althoguh not sure which Avengers still is the one to get. Most look the same and I guess the Canadian release is a Metalpak??

I was winning a auction on ebay for Inglorious Basterds German import steel but got outbid last minute. Wreck what are the must own steelbooks in your opinion for a new collector? Or ones that are available as of right now that will be really hard to come by your predicting?
