This thread is for people to help others locate Steelbooks they're looking for. No trades or items you 'have'.

Please use the following format below:

  1. What steelbook you're looking for + country it was released.
  2. If it should be sealed or unsealed.
  3. What condition it should be in! (Mint = meaning no dings, dents, scratches, paint chips, rips to wrapping, loose discs etc)
  4. If you wish to trade for the item - post a url link to your trade thread. (create a thread if you don't have one!)
  5. Or if you wish to buy a copy + your budget price

Example:

  1. Wizard of Oz CA Steelbook
  2. Unsealed (plan to watch it)
  3. Mint but mainly no scratches
  4. I prefer TRADE otherwise willing to pay cash (£20?).

If you think you can help the finder please keep discussion in this thread to examples as follows:

"The steelbook is located on ebay at"
"ninjaname is selling/trading one in his thread" (With url link)
"PM sent"

What NOT to post: "The Wizard of Oz :)" or "I have a copy of steelbook x for y price". Private message this information to the requesting party or post a Steelbook 'want' thread in Steelbook Trading area, so that both buyer and seller are protected.

Thank you and good luck to everyone in their search.

I am a little behind on some of these value these days :emb:

But some of these sellers on Ebay are taking the Mick :hilarious:

oh yah the sellers on eBay are generating a pretty penny for sure. I will say this though... of the "rare" and "expensive" steelbooks I have Angels and Demons isn't all that special a steelbook itself despite being rare. It has a printed back and the bilingual on the front is a turn off. Inside artwork though is awesome and cover art is pretty nice too if get over the bilingual writing.

I think that eBay sellers often price according to the latest 'sold for' figures in auctions. Some of the most expensive selling prices recently (eg. Iron Man £470) were reached at auction, so it's actually the determination of steelbook collectors that are driving prices up. Angels & Demons for example sold at auction recently for $170, so now it's effectively an $170 steelbook, and that's where sellers will set their BIN from now on (because they've seen that people are willing to pay that). It's almost like legal precedent.

If open is ok, here's your chance at a cheap copy. The eBay seller misspelled the title so possibly not many people have seen it (NO dog tags tho!):

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ingloriou...DVD_Blu_ray&hash=item4cfdde01ff#ht_500wt_1413

Or there's a new sealed one for a LOT more:

Thanks VRob! :)

No dog tags is a bit of a bummer but will definitely have a think and see how much higher it goes
