I take it this movie is based on a Band?

Not exactly it's an original story used as a concept for both the album and the movie. It was co-written by one of the band members and stars the other band members. The score is based upon the album too. Nightwish are a symphonic metal band by the way so probably not everyone's thing.

If you're unfamiliar with their music, then this song is probably the most accessible (also from the only Nightwish album I own) :emb:

Never heard of them, are they from the UK?

Finland (singer was Swedish though).

Yeah, Finland. Country is like the cradle for great metal bands. Nightwish was one of the first to feature a female singer and one of the first to achieve notable success.

First singer, Tarja Turunen, is Finnish;
Second singer, Anette Olzon, is Swedish;
Current singer, Floor Jansen, is Dutch; she is After Forever's former singer (band has split-up) and also performs with ReVamp and with a number of other projects as featured singer.

Storytime is definitely the most accessible and "poppy" song they do

Not massive into metal but love he over the top theatric music they do, trailer looks decent aswell so may pick this up!

Woah! Way cool! I have been keeping an eye on this since Nightwish announced this project. Love Nightwish! :)
