This is the German one. It came without the outer box.

I like the German one more because it has the G2 steelbook which is nicer imo. The rest is similar:

German - manual, art cards, totem (photo below)
French - manual, booklet, totem

I agree, German case is better

i have the german version and the french fnac version. the manual and booklets in the french version are in french, but the manual in the german version is in english.
might be worth bearing in mind, although it obviously doesn't detract form the item's appeal.
